"After a very long drive we arrived in this lovely oasis in the middle of nowhere. The owners did an amazing job at turning this 500 year old house into a warm and homely place. Hamish and Tara, the easy-going owners, made us feel welcome and were always ready with tips or advice about the local area, including a great tip on a local winery. I definitely recommend going there with friends or family. Thanks for a lovely time Hamish and Tara!"

"We all enjoyed our stay at the Les Tramois. The cottage is really charming and is set in a beautiful location. There are horses, a donkey, peacocks, fish, hens… Our children loved interacting with the animals, jumping into a huge paddling pool as well as doing archery and bouncing on a trampoline. Lots to do for the young! There is a nice woody walk and a well equipped charcoal bbq. Fabien is a wonderful unobtrusive but very helpful host. Thank you for having us!"

"A traditional French rural property whose owners have retained its rustic charm and its sense of an historic past. That said, it is more than a comfortable getaway. Equipped for social gatherings, with ample gardens the mill is situated in beautiful countryside. If you want easy access to the bustle of town and city life, it's not for you. If you want leisurely days, meandering through the local countryside, local villages and peace and quiet, this is the place to go."

"The house is located rural, next to a unpaved road en a small stream. It is not luxury but wel equipped and comfortable. It offer a lot value for money. Due to the trees it is relatively cool on hot summer days. In Lormes , which has a nice atmosphere, there are supermarket, several good shops for food and some cafe’s. The surrounding is suited for some shorter day trips and for walking. For cooling down on hot days there is a small lake at a 15 minutes walk from the house"

"We had a lovely weeks stay with 8 adults and 4 kids (ages 7-16) The house is well equipped and owners were friendly and helpful. It did help that my husbands mum and step dad speak fluently french as we may have struggled a bit otherwise with instructions regarding the spa and other bits. The pool was great and the house had plenty of room for the 12 of us. I think if anymore were staying you would need to be prepared to stay on the sofas that change into beds in common areas. The air...

"Les propriétaires sont accueillants et vous expliquent tout ce qui a à savoir aussi bien pour le logement que pour les courses ou les visites. Le chalet est propre et très bien équipé. L'accès au lac est un plus. Le chalet se trouve dans les arbres. Le parcours de randonnée passe juste au bas du chalet. Nous avons passés un très bon séjour."

"Off the tourist track but with a few places for nice visits. In hot weather pool v good for children. Quirky property on outskirts of nice small town with all necessary shops. Significant road noise in main bedrooms but sofa beds in quiet air conditioned living room. Very spacious house and garden. Owner was very attentive. We had very pleasant stay with primary age children."

"We love coming to the area and this house is just wonderful - cool inside when the weather was extra hot. We timed the stay for the July 14th celebrations and vide-grenier which was extra fun to see so many people out and about! Dominique met us at the house, let us in, and gave us her phone number in case we needed anything while we were there. Would definitely recommend - the area also now has a 4G phone signal so I had to disconnect my phone from data to stay away from work emails :D...

"We had an extremely relaxing four nights at the cabin and highly recommend Lake Settons. The cabin was very close to the lake,it was peaceful and had everything we needed. Check in and check out was very easy. We would definitely stay again."

"Riding the Eurovelo 6, we were looking for a place to relax and recharge. We enjoyed the little apartment with a kitchenette, and friendly, helpful staff. There was a safe indoor place to store our bikes, and shopping nearby. I hated to leave!"

"Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour. Le gîte est spacieux (nous étions deux familles) et nous offre le dépaysement que nous devrions à travers les photos, qui sont fidèles aux lieux. Nous avons profité de la piscine (bien que l'eau soit un peu trouble), ou de la table de ping pong...et avons même pu nous imprégner de l'âme de la maison en découvrant les trésors de la bibliothèque."
