"Bed was worn out sank in the middle like a taco. Loud bass pounding from a club until 3am good luck sleeping. Ac cant be tirned down passed 66 and the thermostat is right next to register so the room is above 70 really all that for 500 a night what a joke!"

"My wife and I stayed at the Roehm House. It was awesome. Quiet, well maintained and friendly staff. We will book a stay again, when we travel back to Detroit. The only downside was no Continental Breakfast. But I understand the reason because of some renovations. With that said, it easy within easy walking distance to several restaurants. However, on our last night of our stay, we enjoyed some crackers and cheese with wine on the front porch with the beautiful weather and surroundings. We will be back when we want to visit more of the many museums in the area. I can not say enough great things about our stay at the Roehm House. BTW - the free parking in the back was a very nice touch. Thank you so much."

"My stay was extremely disappointing and not worth the $400–$500/rate. I chose this hotel specifically for the amenities after confirming both before booking and again before check-in that I would be able to use the pool and hot tub with spa services. At check-in, I also confirmed this with the front desk representative, who consulted her manager and verified access. While check-in was pleasant, the room was unacceptable. It had burn holes in the carpet, dirty vents, windows, and cabinets, and the bed did not appear clean. Most concerning, there was an exposed live wire sticking out of the nightstand, creating a safety hazard. The room also lacked basic conveniences such as a way to charge my phone. Housekeeping confirmed the room had just been cleaned. After reporting these issues, I had to wait for a room change, causing me to miss a dinner reservation w/friends visiting from out of town. The replacement room was smaller and still rundown. I then learned I could not use the amenities I specifically booked the hotel for. I was told there was a private event, no towels were available, management had restricted guest access to the hot tub, and there was a $75 spa min to which they were not accepting appts. Management acknowledged my concerns but offered no resolution and promised a follow-up that never happened. Still waiting for calls back.At checkout, valet took over an hour to retrieve my vehicle despite showing Id, and proof of ins. This is a 1 star at best."

"I've stayed here a few times and every time is fabulous. Great vallet and front desk staff. The location is in the heart of downtown making it very accessible and walkable. The siren has very nice beds and pillows and very high quality linens, bath sheets, and robes making our stay always a little more luxurious."

"I've never been so uncomfortable at a rental. There's a difference between having cameras and sensing/monitors in the rental, and watching every step your tenant makes. This man is watching you and paying attention to what you're doing during the entire stay. It's truly unsettling and it ruined our stay entirely. It started the first night with us assuming that a Schlage lock on the outside of the building would have auto lock. He texted me threatening to change the lock code and kick us out. And every day it was another thing with another threat. We had some friends come over around 6pm the second day hoping to have some pizza before our event that night, and he showed up and kicked everyone out (with another threat to kick us out). I get that there's rules so we left, but we are all 30's adults - many of which are married with children (kids not present) and property of our own. Don't stay here unless you are comfortable with being watched constantly."

"We rented the house (a rescued mansion from back in the heydey of Detroit) for my daughter's college graduation. It was perfect for this big family trip. My 90 year old parents and I loved the architectural features- og woodwork, floors and balustrade. My kids loved the basement rumpus room. Okay, I did play some Pacman- couldn't resist. It was well appointed, comfortable and had everything we needed in perfect working order. It's a neighborhood on the upswing. We were near to campus and cultural district. The Detroit Food Coop is a quick trip for any groceries needed. Host was thoughtful and responsive. "
