"Las Verandas was a great choice. The room was beautiful and spacious with a wonderful balcony and the food was delicious! The grounds are very well maintained and the ground around the pools never gets hot. The concierge was very helpful, booking us a snorkeling trip and providing other helpful information. The one downfall (no fault of Las Verandas) was the no-see-ums, so bring bug spray and use it!"

If you’re interested in practicing freediving, the reef is only about a 5-minute walk away, which was perfect for us. As a vegan, I would have loved to see more plant-based protein options, but there was still a good variety of salads and fresh fruit to choose from. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back."

"Truly the most beautiful beach we saw during our entire time on the island. This private island is absolutely gorgeous. The beach alone makes it worth the visit. The rooms could use some updating, and the food felt more like filler food than anything memorable. That said, the drinks kept coming and the beach was easily the best we experienced anywhere on the island. If you want to avoid crowds and simply enjoy a stunning beach in a peaceful setting, this resort is a great choice. Unfortunately, you will need to wait for them to rebuild. The resort actually burned to the ground the same day we checked out. Quite a shocking end to an otherwise beautiful stay."
