Nice house

We booked this house for a 1 night stay before our cruise out of Galveston. House was easy to find and check in was simple, host was friendly and communicated well. Very clean and very spacious for 6 adults to stay with 4 bedrooms add 3 full bathrooms. We mostly just slept and showered so I can’t comment on the TV or appliances, WiFi worked great. Would book it again as it was close to Galveston and the Kemah boardwalk.

Terrible Smell

The second master suite had a terrible smell which was so bad, we couldn’t even sleep in there. There was also a lizard running around in the bathroom (I’m terrified of lizards so this was a no go for me). We suspect the smell was a known issue since there were Febreze sprays in the living room. NOTE: We arrived around midnight, so I did not contact the host about these issues due to the time. The location was close to the interstate and the neighborhood seemed safe, so that was a plus.

Overall the house was perfect for our needs. Check-in was super easy, and the house was clean and fairly well stocked, although a bit sparse in decoration. The beds were super comfortable. The five of us were only there to sleep, shower, and eat breakfast, so it was a bit disappointing to have only two coffee mugs and no serving bowls. Also, the listing says there is a hot tub, but I could not find it. Overall, because of its location, I would stay there again and bring my own coffee mug. : ) Thanks, Yong, for making your home available to us!

The property owner is super nice and commutation was fast and easy, however; the property itself was a bit dirty, bathrooms had hair all over, and there were cockroaches on the kitchen counter the morning of our check out day.

Bat infested

The house was difficult to sleep in and could not participate in recreational activities because it was infested with bats. There were several bats flying and hanging inside of the sun room each time we tried to enter. We were not able to use that space as planned. The entire house smelt like bat feces. It was uncomfortable to sleep because there were bats within the drywall & vents. We could not enter the backyard at all because there were several bats out each day. The owner came to check the area that the bats were flying in. He also came inside the house often as we were staying there. He cut the lawn while we were sleeping and was often in the garage. He also covered the holes around the house with foam so the bats would not go back in.

Horrible service

Booked house and received confirmation tuesday of reservation made. Arrived and had no response from host by text/call and waited 30 mins in driveway. Called vrbo and was told it had been double booked. Waited on phone an hour and a half to get hung up on with no call back. After another hour on phone with vrbo they arranged to have us stay at a hotel that was not very clean. Definitely would not recommend
