"We really enjoyed our stay & the price was affordable. Breakfast was included (the waffles were really good, especially with the raspberry syrup & whip cream) The pool & hot tub were a nice bonus, and it was great to have a balcony to watch the ocean & birds. The staff was friendly & helpful. Would stay here again."

"Great romantic weekend hotel. Lots of historical photos and history. Had a real 1920’s feel to the hotel and decor. Restaurant was great as was the staff. We purposely chose the Galvez. for a romantic get away for the weekend to use pool and bar. The pool was closed for some health related reason. Though I appreciate their concern for cleanliness, it kinda ruined our plans for the weekend. Completely not their fault, just bad luck on our part. We cut our stay short and moved to another hotel that had a pool. The staff was gracious and redeemed our money without a fuss. We will definitely try them again."

"The hotel was an older hotel but clean. The breakfast area was over crowded but the food was good. I really wanted a Diet Coke but the vending machine and the hotel’s snack shop were out of Diet Coke. We were heading to a cruise in Galveston. It was very useful to have access to the airport shuttle. We would stay there again before a cruise."

"I made this reservation on May 11th, 2026. Confirmation # was 73447049268627. The reservation was for 2 days, May 19th and May 20th, with check out on May 21st. However, when they arrived at the hotel, the clerk at the desk said that there was no reservation under that name and they had no rooms available. I have the paperwork where I paid the day I made the reservation. I have used your services many times before without incident, so I am really disappointed. I have notified my credit card company of this problem and hope the charge will be stopped. If it isn't stopped in time and has already went through I will be expecting a full refund. Donna Brooks"
