"The hotel was great but our door to the bathroom is crooked and the key card lock to get in was very off and on, it usually take 5-7 swipes before we could get back in and a lot of the time our card would stop working. Other than that the stay was great and I would likely book here again!"

"I will say that the location of the hotel was awesome! Literally right across the street from the seawall stairs to the beach. I chose this hotel mostly for the pool because we had a 6yr old with us and wanted to make sure the pool was good for when we were done with the beach and it did not disappoint. It was a heated pool with a kid area and a basketball goal and it was a pretty good size pool so you didn't feel cramped. However, the service at the pool was not that great. The waitress ignored us on several occasions but was seen helping other patrons, so that was disappointing. The room kind of had a musty old smell when you first walked in and the bathroom was small. It had an arcade room which was kind of cool but expensive. A cotton candy making machine. A little store that was way too expensive. A bottle of tylenol was $22! We did have a small issue with the room and when I went to tell the front staff, they looked at me like I was an alien or something. I think it was a little overpriced. This would not be my first choice next time, I will look at other resorts. I mean, I would stay here again if it was the last option, but would not be my first choice. But hey, this is just my opinion and observation, you might feel differently than me."

"Room was clean and actively smelled amazing. Staff was wonderful with all our questions and concerns. Hotel amenities were spot on and the meal items offered for breakfast were delicious. Location was actually perfect for the activities we had planned during our stay and was walking distance to dinner, water, and much more."

"The hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff was exceptional had suggestions for whatever we had planned that day. It was our first time in Galveston and didn’t regret one thing. Overall we had a great time and definitely will be returning back again soon. Thanks to Ms. Dee who made our trip more enjoyable."

"They had construction going on but very friendly staff, absolutely GREAT view from the balcony. Did have free breakfast but did not eat.had few concerns but manager on duty was very professional about handling it and getting it squared away."

"This is an older property & you have to realize that right off. But it has been pretty well maintained & updated. Little oddities come along w/ that - like in our bathroom the lavatory handles (to turn on the water) spun around at the base near the counter top rather than as designed. We purchased an upgraded room w/ balcony - but you had to exit the room & cross a secured hallway to utilize this balcony. It's just kind of odd. But overall we enjoyed our stay. The pool area is very nicely done. My only complaint is that the hot tub area is right by the bar where smoking is permitted. So at the end of the day when we wanted to access it - we had to pass as the amount of smoke was unbearable. All of the staff people we encountered were kind & helpful. The breakfast ladies were so sweet & friendly. Would stay here again. It's not super fancy but great for a quick night at the beach get away."
