If you are looking for a romantic getaway for two this is the perfect spot! Centrally located, but with plenty of peace and quiet, our studio apartment is a 7 minute car ride to the beach (Seawall), and 3 minute drive to the strand. Kick back and sip some wine while overlooking the beautiful garden. Check out "the space" section to see everything our property has to offer!

Place is very private and parking was easy during the week. Plenty of spots on 19th street. Comfortable bed and nice washer and dryer. Looking forward to staying again.

Perfect location

A small property, but we were just using it to sleep. Owner was very flexible and communicative. Very clean. Most importantly, the location is perfect for walking around and exploring the Strand.

Cute quite plave

This was my first VBRO and I was not disappointed. Such a cute place even had a little balcony with private courtyard where I sat and had a glass of wine. Public trolly is right there and a nice litttle hula hula restaurant so you don’t need a car. I woud definitely recommend this place.

Great if you are cruising

We stayed here for one night since it was close to the cruise port. It was a clean space and super nice! The cleaning people forgot to leave us towels, but we sent a message and the host brought us towels shortly after. I would stay here again.

Excellent Galveston Vacation!

We traveled from MN to Galveston, TX to leave on a cruise. We decided to stay a couple of days in Galveston before leaving and this was the perfect location for my husband and I! We got a lot of walking in, had some fabulous food, met some wonderful people and have so many things to do when we come back!! Thank you!!

Walkable & safe downtown accommodation

This property is in the heart of downtown making it very walkable to restaurants and shops. It also feels really safe due to having to go through a garage to get to the front door. Parking was easy as there is a large area of free parking next to the property. Additionally, this property has access to a little courtyard that is cutely decorated with hammocks and chairs. We had a great time!!

Perfect location

As a woman traveling alone, it was perfect. I felt very safe. The owner, Lee, was friendly and accommodating. Walking distance to downtown, the Strand historical district, and easy to catch a trolley to the beach. Dog friendly. I grew up in Galveston. This location was wonderful for my needs. True that there is no parking, but it was super easy to park for free on 19th street.

2nd time staying here

I felt very fortunate to be able to book this space again for the Christmas holiday. 2nd time staying here. This time I got to use the portable electric fireplace and it kept the space nice and cozy! I love the location, making it super easy to walk to all parts of downtown and catch a trolley to other parts of the island. As a woman traveling alone i always feel safe here. The lady who owns the unit loves in the front, has two really cute tiny dogs and a nice enclosed outdoor area. This is my spot to stay when I come to visit family and friends!

Overall we had a good time, the owner was flexible with extra guest and the space was very neat and clean. My only complaint is the listing. It says sleeps 4 but there was only space for 3 and you only know it’s a studio home if you scroll down in the description rather than labeled in the title. It’s also a rents space behind the tenants home, something I didn’t expect. Overall, for a small group it’s a nice place.

Cozy Guest

Perfect guest house for a quick Galveston getaway for 2-4 people. Booked it for an overnight fishing trip. The place was clean. It was private. It was cozy. Access into the property was slightly confusing at first but I was able to figure it out. Communication with management was great. My only knock on this place would be parking. There is not an assigned parking area and it is downtown so you must pay for parking or hope to find a free space along the rode. Overall I would recommend this place.

Cute and convenient

A nice and clean place to stay. Close to the waterfront side with the cruise ships and the downtown area with great little bars and restaurants. It was nice to have a quiet place outside to enjoy the bottle of wine the owner provides. Jsut a note that there is no shampoo/conditioner/soap provided other than hand soap. Not a big deal but something for travellers to note as we were not prepared after traveling around a few different cities over several days. The place is small but great for a couple looking to explore the city and have a comfortable and nicely decorated place to sleep and relax.

Mardi gras

I am a member of a krewe and came to participate in parades. The location is perfect! It is about a block from the Mardi Gras entrance gate. So nice to be able to walk to and from my group’s activities. Bed is very soft, I prefer very firm, so it wasn’t my favorite, but that’s personal preference, pillows were great and it was clean. Kitchen had everything I needed. Parking is difficult! Glad I was able to find a good spot and leave my car parked for the weekend.

Galveston Getaway

My partner and I bright our dogs down for a spur of the moment vacation. It was our first time in Galveston and it couldn't have gone better. This space was a great find as traveling with larger dogs can make securing lodging at a reasonable rate difficult. The space was clean, perfectly sized to accommodate us comfortably. The amenities were perfect and exactly as listed. The back yard area was so cute and convienient for quick potty walks. Any communication was prompt, but we weren't wanting for anything. The location was awesome as we were in walking distance of a ton of cool shops, restaurants and bars. The drive to the beach was easy and super cloae. We have every intention of returning to Galveston at some point and will definitely look to stay here again!

Prime location and feels super safe!

As other reviews mentioned, the unit is entered thru a garage and thru an additional garage door. This actually made it feel very safe and secure as young women travelling. The location was absolutely perfect for everything we wanted to do, and we were able to find parking very close to the unit on the street. Because the unit is managed thru a property management company, there was a delay in hearing back about check in codes, but as this was my first time staying there, I did inquire about that info a bit early to arrival. The unit itself was clean and had all utilities described in the listing, but the AC unit was a bit loud at times. Overall we super enjoyed our stay and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!
