• Investigate if any restrictions apply to both your origin and destination. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check before you lock in your flight.
• Keep your face mask on during airport screening. A TSA officer will ask you to lower your mask temporarily to verify your identity.
• Instead of handing a TSA employee your boarding pass, position it straight on the scanner yourself. After that, hold it up for inspection.
• You're allowed to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on bag. This will need to be taken out for X-ray scanning.
• Put any personal items (phone, wallet and keys) in your carry-on rather than a bin to reduce handling during the screening process.
• Separate any food you have for screening. Putting it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA agent to handle and inspect your belongings.
