About this property

Y Cwtch

  • Y Cwtch is a beautifully restored farmhouse set within the peaceful surroundings of Pandy Farm in Snowdonia National Park. Reached via a one-mile gravel track through protected RSPB SSSI oak woodland, the property offers complete privacy and uninterrupted views towards Cadair Idris. Pets are welcome on request.

Inside, Y Cwtch has been carefully designed to retain the character of the original farmhouse while introducing modern features for a comfortable stay. The living area centres around a large fireplace and wood burner, creating a cosy space to relax after a day exploring the area. Underfloor heating runs throughout, and the stylish bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower. The cottage also includes thoughtful additions to make your stay feel a little more special. Coffee lovers can make use of the Smeg barista coffee machine, while a cocktail set is provided if you fancy making a drink in the evening.

Outside, guests can enjoy the quiet surroundings of Pandy Farm and experience a slower pace of life away from busy day-to-day routines. With fresh spring water, very little light pollution and Snowdonia being one of the UK's designated Dark Sky Reserves, clear evenings often bring incredible views of the night sky.

Located close to Dolgellau, Y Cwtch provides a great base for exploring North Wales, with mountain walks, lakes, beaches and local attractions all within easy reach. Whether you're planning days outdoors or simply looking for somewhere quiet to switch off, Y Cwtch offers a secluded countryside stay in a unique setting.

The heating system automatically turns on twice a day (morning and evening). If you'd like to use the wood burner during your stay, logs can be delivered directly to the cottage or left ready for your arrival.

Please note: Access to the property is via a steep gravel track with a tight hairpin turn. A 4×4 vehicle is essential, particularly during winter months, as vans and standard cars will not be able to reach the cottage. If you are unable to arrange a 4×4, please contact us before booking to discuss access.
