"Hotel was really for vacationing Koreans. Children were welcomed. Rooms were comfortable but there were no overhead lights near the beds and no end tables. Cleaning services were avaliable but several times we got back to our room in late afternoon to find the room had yet to be serviced. Hotel was near a famous Buddha temple but not centrally located. "

"I had a suite for a day. Rooms were clean, and the view was excellent. However, I cannot recommend this place to non-Koreans as there are very limited choices for activities and restaurants. All the restaurants are seafood places. Mostly sushi places, if you enjoy sushi, this place would be a great choice. We had live fish sushi for about 40,000 won per person, and it was excellent."

"The hotel is good value for money and located in the downtown area of Ulsan city. Good restaurants and pubs are nearby. The only controversial point is the fact that the reception(check-in) desk is located right in front of the elevators, so you have to see and say hello to staffs every time you go back to your room. "Kolon Hotel was remodeled in 2023, so the beds and facilities (air conditioning, bathroom, amenities, etc.) were excellent. However, perhaps because it was only a renovation, the window frames are still a bit outdated. There weren’t any major downsides, but it wasn’t perfect either. It offers great value for money, and the breakfast in particular was outstanding and delicious. What I liked the most was the Time After Time exhibition. If you’re Korean, I highly recommend getting tickets. The program was great, the facilities were well maintained, and there was a lot to see. Both the kids and the whole family were very satisfied."

"Besides the mistake at the front desk, everything went smoothly. The front desk staff doubled assigned another guest to the room I was already assigned to, and it caught me by surprise, but I understand mistakes can happen, and she handled it accordingly. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. And the location was convenient. I will visit again."
