Views and So Much More
My husband, sister and two nieces were fortunate to spend 4 nights in this outstanding property. We all hated to leave. Sally met us upon checkin and communicated promptly during our stay. She's a gem of a host. The house is tastefully furnished, the beds were wonderful, and the spacious living room gave everyone a comfortable place to congregate. The kitchen had everything we needed and the pantry was well-stocked. While we were doing laundry, the dryer broke. Sally was gracious enough to take our wet clothes home and return them dried and perfectly folded, a kindness we continue to talk about. There is literally a view from every room. The castle, the Cliffs of Mohr, the cows ... all offered peace and serenity. We were privileged to meet a baby calf born the night before and seeing him wobbling around and watching the attentive mother was truly a highlight. The walk along the Cliffs path, which is right outside the property, offered stunning morning mist and evening sunsets. We took the ferry to Inish Mohr, enjoyed a delicious dinner at Ivy Cottage, and heard traditional music at McDermott's. We would all return in a heartbeat! It's a magical place.

Cliff top paradise
Fabulous property — really tastefully done, with all the equipment we could have wished for. There were lots of really nice touches, including the delicious homemade bread and jam provided by the host. The house was incredibly comfortable. And what a location. The cliff path is just outside the front door. The village of Doolin is just down the road. The ferry to the Aran Islands is nearby. The scenery is spectacular. Sally was a terrific host. I can’t say enough good things about this property and this place! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Trip of a lifetime!
Just returned from a weeklong stay at Castleview House! Sally greeted us warmly and had the house stocked with essentials needed to get us started so we could rest up from our day long journey from the US. The house was absolutely GORGEOUS with beautiful scenery out every window. We are a huge hiking family so really enjoyed the fact that the Cliffs of Moher Walking Trail was right outside the gate. We walked it each day, sometimes 2-3 times a day. This property is close to local pubs, shops, grocery stores, and only a quick 1.5 hour drive to Galway. Highly recommend this beautiful property for a vacation of a lifetime! Thank you for everything, Sally!

Magical Christmas in Doolin
This was our first time having Christmas away from either home or at family's, and it was fabulous. Sally was at the house to greet us and good not have been more helpful in managing our booking and stay. The house surpassed expectations and the surrounding area was breathtaking despite the December weather. We loved the walks, pubs and local hospitality. We highly recommend it for anyone thinking of doing the same.

Perfect Family House in Incredible Location
Our stay at the Castle View House was nothing short of amazing. The property location is as good as you can get, with incredible views of the Cliffs of Moher as well as the surrounding farmland and castle. We were a short walk away from town, and enjoyed all of the pub and restaurant recommendations that Sally provided. Sally was as accommodating a host as we could have hoped for. Traveling with our 4 year old and ~2 year old, finding a place to accommodate us is not always easy. Sally provided a high chair, crib, and toys for our girls, and the kids loved every minute of their stay. Having a jug of milk and some fresh eggs also helped us transition from our time in Dublin to our time in the countryside, as we didn't have to worry about groceries the first day we arrived. I cannot express enough gratitude to Sally and her family as we enjoyed one of the best vacations we've had as a family, in part because of the comfort and hospitality of our hosts in Doolin. A true 10/10 stay that we hope to have the opportunity to take again. Thank you so much, Sally!

Wonderful retreat in the Ireland countryside
The house is a wonderful retreat in the Irish countryside. It’s the perfect traditional farm house. It worked out very well for our young family. The bedrooms are laid out perfectly to have kids on one side and the adults or grandparents on the other side of the upstairs. The house is conveniently located about a 5–10 minute walk from a few restaurants, a coffee shop and nice gift store, the sweater shops, etc. Sally and her family were absolutely amazing in helping us navigate some turbulent and unexpected medical needs while in Doolin. We couldn’t have done it without them. Doolin is more remote than I anticipated but the cutest little village in a gorgeous spot. The kids loved seeing the cows outside the kitchen windows at breakfast! Sally’s homemade bread and jam is delicious! We hope to come back soon! We consider them our new Irish family! We miss them already.

Will return again !
Perfect piece of Doolin life you won’t want to miss. Great location, hospitality and space. We had our two kids with us so the cows were perfect for their entertainment, especially when they peek at the window to see what is going on! The cliff walk was ideally located and we loved walking there in tbe mornings. Host Sally is great!

Phenomenal in every way!!!
If you have the opportunity to stay here and you don't... you have made the biggest mistake ever! This place is pure perfection. Owner Sally was so kind and responsive. She has added every little touch to make this place shine - from the homemade bread and other goodies she leaves for you upon arrival to the universal chargers to flashlights and on and on. The house is beautiful and modern but also has traditional charm mixed in. None of us wanted to leave when our stay was up. You'll wake up and look at cows grazing by your window and a castle in the distance. It really is a once-in-a-lifetime stay in Doolin. Thank you so much, Sally, for the best stay. We will absolutely be back someday!
