Perfect Getaway!

Wonderful Getaway with Family!

This place is fantastic! One of the best things is touring when you first arrive. There is so much to do! Tons of games, relaxing outdoors, and chickens! Definitely recommend!

Mom and I had a great time fishing and relaxing. Plenty of room for large family's. Pet and kid friendly.Everything was clean and very nice! Brandon the host was good at communicating with us and made things easy and accomadating.Would def stay again. Thanks for a great time!

Great (quiet) weekend getaway

Who doesn’t want to pick their own eggs from the chicken coupe for breakfast?! We played several games as a family and managed to get in able on the property.

Family Vacation Fun!

We had a great 4 night stay at this property. There are lots of activities plus collecting fresh eggs from the hen house. We saw many birds, heard a bull-frog and coyotes, plus saw several baby deer. The host was attentive, but unobtrusive. My one word of caution is to the seniors renting. There are two staircases that are a bit challenging. However, two bedrooms, the main living area, bathroom and porches are all easily accessed. Our family of 15 ranging in age from 8 to 76 had a fantastic stay!!

Perfect place

The house was incredible we kept finding new charming things around every corner and it was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. It was the perfect place to relax and celebrate our friends before the day of their wedding. There is so much to do all around the property. Incredibly memorable and scenic location.

Perfect family spring break!

We wanted a stress free, enjoyable spring break for our family of five, and had a wonderful time at the Grafton Getaway. There were so many fun things to keep the kids entertained, both outdoors and indoors, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and Brandon was very helpful and friendly with suggestions for things to do in the area. We would love to return!

Great Family Stay

The farm was such an amazing place to find. Our extended family, including my older parents truly enjoyed their stay. There was something for everyone, from small children to teens to adults. We loved the ping pong table, campfire, foosball and record player. The host was on top of everything and a great communicator. Thanks again!

Family getaway

13 of us ranging in age from 11 months to 76 traveled to the farm for 3 days. We enjoyed the house with plenty of spaces for all of us. The kids loved the garage with Pong and Pac Man, the outdoor games of chess and ping pong. We took a family hike, fished in the pond and collected fresh eggs! It was a great place for us!

The home and property are absolutely gorgeous. We vacationed with our four sons and their families. They live in four different states and rarely get together. Their was so much to do with our grandchildren. It was both exciting and relaxing. Brandon was very helpful and he answered all our questions immediately. Can't wait to return!

Perfect place for our Thanksgiving reunion

Our family of 18 was looking for a location to gather for a Thanksgiving reunion for our group scattered across the country. The St Louis area became our target destination. We couldn't have picked a more perfect place to stay than the Grafton Getaway Farm in Dow, IL, just a 40 minute drive into the city. The house was so accommodating to our needs and the kids loved playing farmer as they tended the chickens and fed the ducks. Brandon was a great host, it was fun seeing his collection of memorabilia from his world travels, some which our group had experienced but many others we are now inspired to undertake. A fully stocked kitchen and pantry with extra tables and chairs made our Thanksgiving feast one for the memory books. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this location to other families looking for a taste of farm living.

College Reunion

3 young families, 7 kids under age of 4. We had a great time. Most laid back (in a good way) host I have experienced, check in/out was a breeze. It is an older farmhouse not a new build so just have appropriate expectations, photos are accurate. Very well furnished, comfortable beds. Very thoughtful with variety of kids activisties, our kids enjoyed the trucks, gravel pit, kid zone, trampoline, paddle boat, and gathering eggs. Would absolutely go back.

Family Reunion at the Farm

Our family ranged in age from infant to 85 years old. All of us had a good time at the Farm. The host was very responsive and helpful, even meeting us upon arrival. The property provided lots of opportunities for activities and fun, with a variety of indoor spaces and games plus multiple outdoor things to do. We were surprised that we were expected to help care for the chickens & ducks, but these chores were simple. The seclusion of the property was nice for us, but it was also near several places we needed or wanted to go (stores, the river, a state park). We highly recommend this host and location.

Amazing property! Amazing host!

My husband and I had 6 boys together at this property for my sons 10th birthday sleepover party. The property was amazing. There was so much for the kids to run around and do. I wish we'd actually had more time and stayed longer than one night. They had so much fun picking their location to sleep within the house, and their favorite part might have been naming all of the chickens. The host was just as great! He communicated timely and was kind and helpful! We look forward to checking out this property again as well as his other ones. I definitely recommend!!

We had such a great family vacation! There were ages 8 months to 94 years old. Great grandparents, grandparents & all of the adult children & their children. A truly one of a time vacation and everyone had a fantastic time. Grafton Getaway was exactly as advertised! Very clean, every family had their own room & there was plenty of space for all of us to be together. Bedrooms on the main floor for elderly to stay with bathroom. We enjoyed all of the games especially in the nice cool garage! The pond was so beautiful & even though it was extremely hot, we did some ping pong in the barn. Nightly gatherings at the gazebo too! Something for everyone. Most of all priceless memories were made. Brandon was great to work with. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!

Delightful Farm

Out in rural Jersey County, you will find this cozy, quaint and quirky farmhouse. The area is beautiful with fall trees changing colors and the brisk fall breeze. We enjoyed fishing, paddle boating and kayaking on the farm pond. The 2 ducks on the farm pond are darling! The hens were one of my favorite activities letting them out in the morning. We used to have chickens. I got into several foosball wars with my companions. We also enjoyed the numerous games and movies available within the house. This house is amazing! The amount of bedrooms in nooks and crannies is one of the coolest features! You’ll not be disappointed with this property! 5 stars! Thank you for the wonderful memories! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
