Very short drive to three world class golf courses. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was very good. Room very comfortable.

Enjoy a round of golf in Downings at Sandy Hills Golf Course. Wander the seaside and forests while you're in the area.
Downings is one of the most scenic areas in Ireland . Two good hotels with entertainment and several cafes and beautiful beach . But that is about it . Great for outdoor people ,walking cycling, swimming etc if you are lucky enough to get sun .
A very friendly laid back village. Everything is very accessible on foot, lovely coffee shops, ice cream shop and eateries. Beach very safe for children though beware of driving your car on to the beach as we watched many vehicles getting stuck.
