Basecamp Suites Banff

"The property is well located, the rooms and bed a bit small. The kitchen was well stocked....a grocery and liquor store right nearby. The manager was very nice...the place was clean. PARKING IS A MAJOR HASSLE. We’d just arrived in Banff, parked out front of the hotel and went inside to check in. We went back outside and there was an expensive parking ticket on our car. That quick. Even if we knew to pay first, the kiosk adjacent to the spot took only coins and the hourly fee was significant. We finally found a kiosk around the corner and down the street that took cards but by then, it was too late. We filed a "grievance" with the town hall but they declined it.... When we made the reservation a few months back, parking in the adjacent garage was reasonable which is what we'd planned to do. When we arrived it had more than doubled. Although we loved Banff, we had to organize each day of our visit around moving our car to legal spots."

Brewster Mountain Lodge

"What’s great: front desk staff, location What’s not: lack of room AC Free breakfast was decent, staff worked hard to keep place tidy. Plenty of underground parking spaces. Enjoyed the rustic feel of the lodge. The best feature of this place is its central location. Everywhere in Banff is an easy walk. The front desk are likewise admirable for their helpfulness and politeness, especially Hanna! Thank you for the room upgrade :) The area I recommend to improve is to have AC in each room, just like they have it in the hallways. Or at least clearly disclose that there are none available in the rooms. We managed the heat by running 2 fans and keeping windows open. I can’t imagine how summer days would feel like. One guest was berating a front desk person due to the lack of room AC. She remained calm and was apologetic, not her fault of course, but I felt bad for her. Hopefully management considers this to avoid those encounters. Coin operated laundry machines are available. Overall we would stay again, probably not during warm season. Due to the “heating” feedback, we were given a “parking” perk, that was a very kind gesture. Thank you again, we enjoyed our stay."

Banff Park Lodge

"Great location. Nice room, small bathroom but OK. Mattress was encased in some sort of synthetic material which had an overheating effect so didn't have best of sleeps. Large underground parking which was very dusty due to all the construction going on. Crazy that given the high room charges (I know, it's Banff, they're all doing it) they charge you extra for parking."

"Hotel is charming and super close to Banff Ave. The rooms could use with a little refreshing - a fresh coat of paint on the walls and ceiling would be nice. The room and bathroom were clean and fresh. Staff was helpful and friendly. Restaurant was excellent- best dining experience we’ve had in awhile. Great food, drinks, and staff."
