"I recently stayed at the Canopy by Hilton Ithaca Downtown and overall had a very positive experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and clearly well maintained. The location is excellent, and the rooms were comfortable—especially the beds. Where the experience fell short was on the service side. The staff, while friendly, often came across as a bit disengaged and not particularly attentive. There were small but noticeable issues—like empty coffee stations and long wait times at the restaurant (we were told 45 minutes for food), which made it feel understaffed. That said, one staff member in the restaurant on Friday night made a genuine effort to improve the experience, which was appreciated. With a stronger focus on service and staffing, this hotel could easily match the high quality of its physical space."

"On the plus side, the bathroom had a shower stall, and there was a large TV with cable channels in the room. On the other hand, our room had no chair of any kind and only one nightstand. Everything was unclean, with crumbs on the nightstand and floor. It was a big disappointment, because the hotel definitely has got a potential. "

"They did an awesome job restoring and decorating this historic property. Loved everything about it—sustainability features, coziness, cleanliness, etc. They also provide coffee and fruit and biscotti in the mornings. The location is great too, at a short walking distance from the Commons. Highly recommend "
