"I love the La Fonda Hotel in Taos. This hotel is the best location period. Ask for a room overlooking the Plaza and sleep with your curtains open for some intriguing light and shadow effects. Ask to view the Forbidden Art by D. H. Lawrence for a really special treat. Tell Sheldon that Les said Hi! Sheldon runs the hotel and does an excellent job. I will be back! Again and again."

"Very charming, wonderfully kind staff, but the exterior of the building is very tired - which is not a surprise, since it is a historic hotel. Lobby and sitting area darling, clean, and welcoming. Rooms were very dated, but furnished in the spirit of Taos."

"We loved it here! The rooms were very clean and spacious-enough extra room to spread out my yoga mat plus a nice outdoor seating area right outside the room. The grounds were well kept. There was a cornhole setup and horseshoes. Little kids had plenty of room to run around. Older couples sat in Adirondack chairs to read and crochet.
