Bei dem gebuchten Doppelzimmer handelte es sich um ein verwinkeltes, über Treppen schwer zugängliches Dachappartment ohne Dusche, allerdings in einer ansonsten traumhaft schönen alten Villa im schönsten Stadtteil von Dresden. Schade.

Gern wieder

Wer abseits der normierten Hotelketten in Dresden ein Quartier sucht, ist in der Villa Ulenburg ichtig. Das Gebäude - eine umgebaute und sanierte Villa - liegt etwas außerhalb im sehenswerten Nobelviertel Weißer Hirsch, doch die Attraktionen im Stadtzentrum sind mit Bus und Tram oder auch mit der historischen Standseilbahn gut zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind sehr individuell mit vielen alten Möbeln eingerichtet. Sehr gut die kleine Küchenzeile mit Herd und Kühlschrank, so dasss man sich Kaffee, Tee oder auch einen kleinen Imbiss machen kann. Frühstück wird angeboten, haben wir aber nicht genutzt.Kleines Manko aus unserer Sicht: die schon etwas durchgelegenen Matratzen und die unkomfortable Kaffeemaschine. Parkplätze gibt es auf dem Grundstück, reichen aber nicht für alle Zimmer. An der Straße waren aber stets Parkplätze frei. In der Nähe ein vorzüglicher Bäcker (Walther) und in kleiner Supermarkt (Frida)

Das Haus hat Stil. Ein schöne alte Villa. Leider auch hellhörig. Zur Zeit ist wenig los, deswegen war das nicht schlimm. Sehr sauber und gut gepflegt.

Beschreibung stimmt nicht. angeblich 50qm und für 4 Erwachsene, tatsächlich 25 (haben wir nachgemessen ) und mein Sohn musste in der Küche schlafen. Unglaublich laut !! Unser Zimmer war direkt neben dem Eingang und wir hatten nachts keine ruhige Minute. Sehr umständliches Einparken, nur 6 Parkplätze, die kaum erreichbar waren. Zimmerservice hat die Betten nur einmal gemacht, dann nicht mehr.

Checking in over uncomfortable as it was 3 houses down the road. And it took 1/2 hour! She was very very busy. But the room was excellent, neighborhood beautiful villas! And very quiet, surrounded by gardens. No A/C and it was hot.

Wunderschöne alte Villa, sauber und gepflegt

Die Unterkunft liegt im grünen Randbereich von Dresden. Mit der Straßenbahn (empfehle, das Auto stehen zu lassen) dauert es ca. 30 min bis ins Zentrum. Ebenfalls empfehlenswert ist ein Ausflug mit der Schmalspurbahn zur Moritzburg.

Lovely bed and breakfast in a quiet lovely suburb

The Villa Ulenburg is a lovely building in the suburbs elevated over Dresden's beautiful river. The views from our rooms were lovely. The rooms we had were adjoining suites each done in a different colour and style but both charming. Both rooms had kitchens, one someone bigger than the other, but both quite fine for collecting dinner from the local supermarket and making dinner. We thought breakfast was good value for nine Euros, with lovely morning coffee and plenty of colds meats, cheese and fruit. Wahid gave us personal service every morning in the dining room. We walked to the funicular railway down lovely quiet streets. Every morning we looked forward to the walk to the main road and onto the tram to travel down to Dresden for a day's walking. And in the evening the pleasant trip back up the hill to stop at the supermarket and buy the ingredients for dinner. One night we tried the local Chinese restaurant and it was good value. There weren't a lot of guests at the Villa while we were staying in April and it was quiet at night. The lovely photos that you see on the Vila's web site are genuine examples of the decor.

Schönes Jugendstilappartment in Stadtnähe

Das Appartement ist wunderschön und sehr sehr sauber. Die hohen Decken und die historischen doppelverglasten (Sprossen-)Fenster sorgen für eine besondere Atmosphäre. Man wohnt ausgesprochen ruhig im Villenviertel Dresdens. Die Küche ist ausreichend ausgestattet, die Betten hatten sehr gute Matratzen (meine Begleitung hatte keine Rückenschmerzen, was sonst üblich ist) und vom Balkon aus bot sich ein genialer Ausblick auf Dresden. Der Preis war für Weihnachtsmarktzeit sehr fair. Abzug gibt es weger der 6 Euro Touristengebühr pro Person, das war im Angebot und bei der Buchung nicht offen ersichtlich. Unweit des Appartements befindet sich ein ausgezeichneter Italiener, der eine sehr sehr leckere Küche anbietet. Wer sich selbst versorgen will, findet auch einen Supermarkt in der Nähe, der zu Fuß gut zu erreichen ist. Keine 10 Minuten läuft man vom Appartement zur Stadtbahn und kann entspannt in die Innenstadt fahren. Bereits von der Stadtbahn aus hat man Blick auf die Elbe, auf Schlösser und auf Dresden. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Schön wärs gewesen...

Ruhige Wohngegend ( ehemaliges Kurgebiet ) mit schönen Villen, nah zur Tram 11 und Bus für Stadtrundfahrt. Bäcker, Metzger, guter Italiener um die Ecke. Stilvolles Haus, Zimmer war klein, keine versprochene 25 qm!! Toilette 50 cm neben dem Bett, daher keine Intimsphäre, sehr unangenehm!! Um die Küchenschränke hingen Staubhuddeln, über dem Bett klebte an der Decke eine zerklatschte Spinne. Frühstücksbuffet war super, Leute sehr nett. Würde wieder hingehen, falls es wirklich ein 25 qm Zimmer gibt mit Geräuschprinzessin....
