"The online photos showed 3 bedrooms , 2 with double beds and 1 with two singles, but only 2 bedrooms were available. The double bead was small for 2 adults @nd only had a double bed doona which meant one of us didn’t have bedding. My husband ended up sleeping in the pulled out couch so we could both get some sleep. The house was not overly clean. Lots of dust, my husband cleaned the laundry sink and I cleaned the bathroom sink. Lots of dust on the Venetians and had to empty part of the freezer to put our food in. Too much of the owners stuff everywhere and far too many rules. Do not light the fire as there was very little wood and said you would to either bring your own it you would have to pay for the wood used. Also asked to be careful with power use as it was on solar. Was very cold so we used the heaters as much as we needed. The house was in a great location away from the hustle and bustle and perfect for our grandkids. Castlemaine was just a 10-15 min drive away. Great walking area, nice and flat."

"We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Stonelea. The apartment was beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable, quiet, and warm, which given we stayed in the middle of winter, very important. Breakfast supplies for our 1st day were generous. Easy access to Daylesford, Trentham, Blackwood, and Castlemaine. Thankyou Peter and Pam - you've thought of everything to make for a comfortable stay"

"Group of 5 ladies enjoyed these spacious facilities in an idyllic setting very close to river bank walk.Kitchen very well provisioned.Suggest bringing your own coffee plunger if not familiar with a stove top percolator… excellent ground coffee was provided.Generous provision of towels."

"Our family stay was wonderful in Glenlyon. The property is nicely situated with views. There is a General Store within walking distance. The house is very spacious with a very large kitchen in which you can cook up a storm. Daylesford is about 12km away."
