Villa Filaus is an outstanding place to stay - it’s an old Dubrovnik villa that has been restored to an amazing standard.
Rooms are spacious, airy, bright, with balconies to enjoy a morning coffee in peace (cannot confirm that all rooms have a balcony, btw). It’s got coffee/tea-making facilities in the room to start you off in the morning.
Breakfast is provided in a cafe across the road, and you can enjoy all the facilities available in the sister-hotel More as if you were their guest (swimming pools, spa, beach loungers....), that’s about 15-20 minures’ walk away from the villa.
If you’re driving to Dubrovnik, the villa has its own private parking lot that you can use, which to us was perfect since driving in Dubrovnik is a bit of a faff, and there are cheaper options to get form A to B (certain well-known app service operates amazingly well in the city!).
There is also a small cute plunge pool for hot summer days, which is, however, slightly exposed to outside of the perimeters so won’t be to everyone’s liking.
For any questions and issues, Villa Filaus has amazing staff, particularly the manager Anita, who is simply amazing.
I would totally recommend you book a room there.
