"Farmhouse has been beautifully restored and expanded with a new kitchen, 3 new bathrooms, laundry, and living areas. It was well cleaned and prepared for our arrival. There are nice trails for walking/hiking, BC skiing and snowshoeing. The Bruce trail to the east was accessible with snowshoes up through the woods from the home’s back door. We were Kelly’s first farmhouse guests and she was very responsive to queries. When we asked about a coffee maker, she brought one over within hours. Though we did not ask, a microwave would also be a good addition to the otherwise high-end appliances. Kelly provided lots of information about snowshoes, the wood fireplace, and the complex toaster oven. The VRBO website continues to list gym/fitness room/equipment as an amenity. In actual fact, one outbuilding is operated as a private Pilates Studio which we found out can be booked separately. This “amenity” should probably be better described on VRBO as it is not really an amenity of the rental. Finally, guests should be aware that there will be some activity on the property as there are a few (2-4) cars most evening for Pilates about 50m from the house (quiet and not an inconvenience) and there are a couple bunkies on the property (not occupied in the winter while we were there) that may be rented out in milder weather ( tent sites) as they are listed on another website.Great access to all the Beaver Valley and Kimberley has to offer. "This home is beautifully nestled on top of Blue Mountain. There was plenty of space to sleep, eat, relax, and socialize comfortably. It was the perfect place to celebrate my mom’s 60th birthday, and we truly couldn’t have chosen a better spot. Highly recommend!"
