About this property

Modern studio with soft tub -Ratcliffe Guest Suite

Near beautiful trails and set in a quiet neighbourhood, this suite is perfect for a weekend break or even longer. It has everything you need but is not far from the local town.
This newly renovated suite has its own private entrance and large deck. With home comforts in mind, there is a comfy sleeping area with a queen bed and closet. The sitting room area has a queen sofa bed, electric fireplace and tv. There is also a dining area and desk/dressing table area.
The suite also has a full bathroom and fully equipped kitchen.
There is an outdoor soft tub on the deck for relaxing and watching the sunsets.

Our suite can sleep up to four adults but it is more suited for individuals/couples and people with younger children.
We are happy to provide baby items such as high chair, travel crib, baby bath and toys, games and books for all ages. Please just let us know when booking. Please note although we welcome small pets at the property we do charge a $40 pet fee.

The hot tub was an amazing way to relax! The suite is beautiful, and very clean! We only stayed one night (unfortunately) but based off our short experience there, Becky and Luke make GREAT hosts! I’m so glad we chose the Ratcliffe and we will definitely be coming back!

The space was welcoming with yummy goodies. Great decor. Very cosy. Blankets and pillows to snuggle up by the fire. Quiet country neighbourhood, but with shops, groceries and parks nearby. Hot tub!! Well laid out kitchen with all the things you need to make a meal. Desk area for working and great wifi connection. Bed was comfortable.

Clean, well-supplied suite in excellent location

We stayed for five nights in this clean, well-maintained suite that supplied everything you would need in both the kitchen and bathroom. The bed was comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water and heat was easily available if needed. Communication was easy and all questions were answered quickly. The location is perfect and is near to many of the main attractions in the area. We would definitely recommend this place to stay when visiting this area.

Lovely space and great location for where we needed to go. It was a very short stay so didn't use the hot tub but it was a lovely little space, nicely decorated and adorned, with some lovely extra welcoming touches like fresh baked cookies and a bottle of wine. Full kitchen which is perfect for longer stays for sure. Will be back for our next course in Duncan!

A lovely, cute, modern guest suite. Complete with everything you need for your stay, including a yummy bottle of wine and some delicious cookies and items for your pooch as well. The owners have thought of everything you may need during your stay! A very comfortable, clean and well maintained suite, in a beautiful country location, but close to so much. The owners definitely know how to take care of their guests and make themselves available if necessary.

This has truly been our favourite property to stay at! From the moment we let the owner know we’d be arriving late, they went out of their way to accommodate us—offering to set up the pull-out couch so we could get the kids to bed early. Such a thoughtful touch! We were greeted with a sweet welcome gift and walked into the cutest, coziest little suite. Everything felt warm, inviting, and spotless. It was incredibly quiet, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We’ll definitely be making this our go-to place every year as we travel for sports. Highly recommend!

Home Away From Home

My daughter and I stayed for three nights. The guest suite was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and provided everything we needed to have a home away from home. The kitchen was thoroughly equipped, the bed and sofa bed were very comfortable and, for a small space, the suite felt spacious. It was cozy, private and peacefully quiet. The location is great being only 5 min from town. The thoughtful details and special touches provided by the hosts made our stay extra enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again.

Fabulous place

My small family of 3 had a wonderful stay at this beautiful suite. It was stocked perfectly and beautifully decorated. The neighbourhood was peaceful and it's perfect for someone looking for a country get away. The Cowichan Valley has so much to offer in terms of hiking, bike riding and generally being in nature. The hot tub was perfect for 2 people and the suite fit us well as a family of 3. Ear plugs were helpful as the fridge and outdoor heat pump ran at night. The host was wonderful and very attentive to our needs, answering our questions immediately and bringing us extra towels for the hot tub. I completely would recommend this place!

I stayed for one night. Becky was incredibly hospitable. She connected with me clearly and early prior to arrival to make sure my anticipated arrival process was smooth and easy. She is super responsive and helpful. The unit is perfect for 1-2 adults with an additional sofa bed for kids if needed (might get a little tight then, but manageable) it has everything one needs. There are many gentle and nice touches around the room. Taste and cleanliness, thought and effort are evident all around. It is obvious the hosts put in a lot of effort in maintaining the unit and keeping it in top shape all the time. I am impressed with Becky's work and hospitality and would definitely recommend this place to anyone passing by Duncan. Thanks. Naz
