Hosts very friendly and helpful

We had an amazing stay. A quiet place to relax and enjoy nature

The initial room (apartment) wasn’t nice at all but they switched us into a fabulous room upstairs. From that point on it was perfect. Above and beyond service, friendliness , courtesy, staff were excellent especially Carl the bar manager.

Fabulous views and amazing golfing. The hotel itself is very well maintained and of a very high standard. Food for dinner and breakfast was of a very high quality. In some hotels this can all get lost if the team working there do not match those standards but, in this instance, they actually exceeded them. It is rare to find an establishment with so many excellent and accurate five star reviews.I can testify that they are all correct. Blackwell house recently won an award as the best Guest house in Northern Ireland, and it is well deserved. I had the pleasure to spend one night in "Lily's room", but would have happily stayed the weekend. The service is five star from the welcome at the door to the excellent "Ulster fry" for breakfast the following morning, which is only one of the many tasty...

Staff all very friendly. Room clean and spacious. Food in Restaurant was lovely, breakfast service not so good as little available on our last morning of stay, waited 20min for rasher and the fried eggs arrived as we were ready to leave at 9:55am at which stage staff appeared to be arriving for their breakfasts.

I have stayed before - always love here - old style buildings and unique the way Ivan the owner has them finished - all by his own hands too. Food in the bar next door is really lovely too but would recommend you book ahead to get a table otherwise you'll be disappointed!
