Dungeness Bay Cottages

"Sequim is a delightful place to visit and stay. Easy drive to Olympic National Park, and Port Angeles if you want to take a ferry. This property was great. We enjoyed the charming decor in our cozy cottage. Any questions that we had were answered quickly via the chat system. There was a little private beach area we could visit easily and we enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of hiking at the National Park. It was not an issue for us, but the listing and photo when I booked described that our cottage had a bed and a sleeper sofa. There wasn't a sleeper sofa, and our cottage was perfect for the two of us but would not have been comfortable with any more people in it. The property does have larger cottages as well. You should definitely consider it."
Spacious shorefront cabin with Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge views

"Water and Dungeness Split view with surrounding trees were fantastic. Enjoy nature’s noise because thats all you here other than the occasional boat horn. House is a bit dated but well maintained and clean. A couple suggestions; the outdoor chairs are really good quality, however the porch rail is right in your line of viewing, trim some of the bushes in front of the porch for a better view, also wash the plexiglass across the back porch, there is alot of tree stuff falling on the back porch and on the vehicles. I would suggest a leaf blower to keep the stuff cleaned off the porch and reduce tracking in the house and my vehicle got alot of tiny sap droppings from the trees so a carport for at least 1 vehicle would be nice. It took 2 car washes to get it off my vehicle. And lastly, you really need a dishwasher. The grill worked great for cooking fresh seafood and steaks. Warning it is a steep hike down to the bottom and you will have to make a short walk across a muddy area to get to the “split” during low tide ( high tide is under thigh high water) or drive to the public access to get to the split. It’ s an awesome walk out there to the lighthouse. Also reminder no dogs on the beach at the Dungeness split."

"This is a lovely property with lots of privacy, surrounded by natural beauty. The private trail to the Dungeness Spit trail head is fantastic - it's about a 20 minute walk down to the spit and well worth the effort. It is stunning, even in the rain! It's a moderate uphill walk part of the way back. Easy access by car from the house to everything the Olympic peninsula has to offer. Couple of small suggestions:Perhaps a throw or some blankets might be a nice addition - my daughter fell asleep on the exceptionally comfy couch after a long hike on the spit and there was absolutely nothing to throw over her except towels!There isn't enough light for reading on the same exceptionally comfy couch once it's dark. I moved a lamp upstairs from one of the bedrooms so I could see my book.Must stress, these were tiny inconveniences that did not detract from a fabulous weekend in a gorgeous home. Thank you so much!"

"This house is situated overlooking the water. Mature, literally, passes by the walls of windows.. blue herons, deer, seals, king fishers and more. Enjoyed Dungeness Discovery Center, strawberry picking, visiting a dairy, hiking, walking the tide pools and nightly bonfires on the beach. This was a very relaxing peaceful vacay. The house was pristine and well equipped. The biggest plus is the walls overlooking the ocean are all glass. Bring your binoculars to view the cruise ships and night lights from Victoria. We will return again!"
