Older drive-in type of motel, unique but there was a big group using the common backyard area for a party in the evening so we stayed in our room. Clean, simple room with air conditioning. We didn’t have pets with us but good to know that they allow them. Check in at the office was easy.

Staff was incredibly kind, funny and informative about surrounding areas and things to do, and places to eat. Would recommend to other people and would come back. Has a nice cabin vibe to it rather than a motel feeling. Very homey. Great location. Close to a good burger place and botanical gardens. Easy walk to hedge creek falls.

This was a pleasant little place to stay that accommodated our two dogs perfect. The parakeets and the huge coy in the pond were great. Go to the pizza factory and walk by the river. Great place!!!

The property was clean however definitely needs some simple repairs which could definitely make the value worth it. Missing window screens, poorly remodeled with broken items, weird mold smell in the room and very spotty wifi. But the host was nice and the location was close to two beautiful waterfalls.

Cedar Lodge is a good choice for the price. It’s always clean and has the essential facilities. But be aware that it’s dated and small.

Fair for the Price-clean and safe.
This was an extension of a week in Mt Shasta. I tried to book something in Shasta, but everything was booked. Dunsmuir is only a 6-mile drive from the town of Shasta and I was familiar with the area. Check-in was easy. I was given a real key--hadn't seen one of those for a while—plenty of parking. It was an older motel, but the room was fine. It was clean with basics. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioner worked fine. This is a "mom and pop" owned place. When I had trouble with the Wi-Fi login, I called--it was kind of late. The owner was very nice. I could get on but Wifi was very slow and kept cutting out. I never turned on the TV so can't comment on that. It was fine for a one-night stay. Dunsmuir has its attractions--there is a waterfall within walking distance. This place is also very close to the freeway--but was surprisingly quiet.

The pictures posted on this property were very flattering, they must have used very tight shots. The outside was cluttered and the units looked quite old and run down. Inside was clean but minimalist; shower looks to be from the 60s/ 50s, beds look clean and comfortable. Locks on the doors were old style in knob twist locks with key. This place gives every impression of owners who collect fees but do no upgrades or maintenance.
