It's no exaggeration that Dushanbe Serena Hotel has Central Asia's finest housekeeping staff (incredibly thorough cleaning and always exuding warmth and kindness), though Mansoor (middle-aged gentleman) was the only true stand-out front desk attendant, and he truly was incredibly patient and hospitable! Other front desk attendants were stoic and unwelcoming. The room was very spacious with a wonderful desk, and the bathroom was large and beautiful. The re-stocked mini-bar of cold drinks was very much appreciated, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Views from the room's windows facing the street were unremarkable. I thoroughly read the hotel's book of policies provided in the room, but several pieces of information were no longer accurate, which was frustrating. For example, the hotel's second floor business center does not sell stamps and does not offer newspapers (in fact, the business center looks in ruins). There is also not a bookstore, and the tiny gift shop is overcrowded with merchandise (none of which is visibly priced, which is unprofessional). The ninth floor pool was shockingly miniscule and claustrophobic. It can only fit about 10 to 15 guests, and I would say it's certainly an adults-only pool. If you are not among the first 10 to 15 people to arrive, then you won't be able to enjoy the pool that day. Airport transportation arranged by the hotel was minimally late, but late nonetheless, which is always nerve-wracking.

I was placed in a room with an air conditioner that didn’t work and clearly hadn’t for a long time. Asked for a change and specified nonsmoking and was placed in a nonsmoking room with an ac that barely worked. Avoid floor 3 (smoking)

Отличная комфортная гостиница. Хорошее расположение. Если путешествуете налегке и погода позволяет, можно даже пешком дойти с аэропорта ~40 минут. Вокруг есть, где перекусить. Оставался на одну ночь, с целью посмотреть город Душанбе - все успел, все посмотрел. Хорошее место, рекомендую
