"Overall, it was a good, solid place to stay for more than a week. Laid back, and staff that didn't bother you. Nice location, right on the water. No coffee machine in the office nor in the room, so visit Dave at Ma's across the street for a good cup of coffee and a hearty breakfast. A little further down is a 7-11. Avoid Boathouse401 at all costs. They call cops at the drop of a hat. "

"DO NOT STAY HERE. This place stinks of cigarettes in the rooms, in the halls, it's gross. It sucks to even SIT on the bed. The blanket is as thick as an airline blanket. There were people partying directly outside our room in the parking lot (the wall between is floor to ceiling window, by the way.) Super sketchy. We left after 5 minutes and went to the Hilton Garden Inn in Lakewood which was worth every penny. Don't do it. It's cheap for a reason and probably should be condemned."

"During the check-in process we were met by a gentleman with severe difficulties while attempting to speak English. I could barely determine what he was saying. Those difficulties worsened when I returned to the front desk to request additional towels since there were three of us. The Reservation was clearly adjusted on line by me to assure that they knew the room was for three adult guests. On arrival we noticed that there were only two pillows on each bed. All three of us sleep on two pillows each at home, so I made a request for two additional pillows. Same person was requested to provide the additional pillows and said that all I could get was ONE additional pillow! I did my best to explain that ONE additional pillow was unacceptable, yet he seemed like he didn't understand what I was saying. We only received ONE additional pillow. We ended up asking our daughter to prop her pillow up on the bath towels. We had to get by with only two washcloths and NO HAND TOWELS! There were no kleenex tissues in the room and the TP was terrible. The sink was in the room and not in the bathroom, making it difficult for all three of us to have privacy while getting ready to leave in the morning. As we were leaving the room to check-out we were met by another, very rude person that was cleaning a different room. He DEMANDED that we give him the room key! No greeting, No smile, No Thanks for staying! We will NOT be using this Travel Inn in the future! Once was too much for us!"
