"Lopesan is a solid resort for first‑time travelers or anyone looking for a decent, budget‑friendly option. It’s not luxury, but it offers good value if you’re not overly particular.
Our stay started rough: the shower drain in our first room didn’t work, causing the room to flood on night one. After multiple unanswered calls to the front desk, I went to reception and asked for a manager. Once involved, the manager helped and moved us to a new room, though it took a few hours.
The buffet food is just okay—nothing special—but the specialty restaurants were genuinely good. Make reservations the night before, or you’ll end up at the buffet or The Valley. The Valley was the weakest dining option and really only works when nothing else is available.
The resort’s Boulevard is a nice touch, with shops, a pharmacy, and entertainment areas. The overall vibe is enjoyable, though pool chairs get “reserved” early despite the resort saying otherwise. If you’re not out by 8 AM, you won’t get a front‑row spot at the main pool.
Staff varies—some are great, others not as friendly.
Overall, the resort is fine for the price. Aside from the flooding issue and The Valley’s food, we still had a good time. If you can overlook a few inconveniences, you’ll enjoy the experience."
