"the staff on the phone was most unhelpful when I asked where we were supposed to park as the hotel is on the road...we had to drive round 3 times with no directions until we happened upon an unobvious carpark......the staff were slow to greet us, only when I greeted them first ( as in hello on arrival and good morning at breakfast)...such a pity ...but the waited at dinner was brilliant (surname Morgan) funny and kind...."

"Fantastic stay at the Hampshire Hog. 2 x nights 24th &25th April 2024 Staff extremely friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t eat in the evening, but breakfast was very nice, choice of full English breakfast, fruit, and lots of options, which were all good quality. The room was huge, we stayed in room 14. Reception advised whatever was in the room drink or food was ours foc. Well, there was 2 large bottles of cider, 2 bags of crisps, good quality chocolate, artisan...

The inn has real character, be prepared for the sloping floors and watch your head in the bedroom and all doorways. The rooms are named after ships and you can understand why. "As soon as we artived the owner met us and took us ti our topm. Explained the entry procedure. The room was quite basic but clean and comfortable and more than acceptable for the price of the accomodation. The only slight doenside we were led to believe there was a bar and food but it is currently being reurbushed."

"The Crown is in the center of the lovely coastal town of Emsworth, within walking distance of multiple local shops, beautiful churches and buildings, excellent local restaurants, and natural sites including the shoreline and local forests. The pub at the Crown is superb, very cozy and friendly, and features regular live music."
