For a budget hotel it was superb, the unique thing about this hotel was their celebrity theme rooms and the whole decor in and out of the hotel was pretty unique. It is very much walkable from the Beach, Town centre and other attractions. If we are back in the city will definitely stay there again."

"A lovely old property(150 years old) where they have kept some of the original features. I think it is due for an update in a few years but I hope they keep some of the original features. We stayed in the Coastguard cottages which were excellent but connected to the hotel with a covered walkway. The staff were excellent and very obliging. The evening meals were excellent although breakfasts were typical large hotel buffet style.i would still recommend it though."

"Wonderful reception and assistance to room, freshly decorated and well fitted accom. Brilliant bathroom with tub and shower, shutters on window facing beach. Spacious, light and airy. High quality carpet in bedroom and flooring in bathroom. Wide bay window with table and chairs, great outlook across bay, comfy bed, spacious room and storage. Weekday breakfast is minimal but adequate for us, plenty local cafes if you need full cooked brekkie. Hotel has an elevator. Fab location opposite beach, great views, short walk to river and harbour. "
