About this property

Hot Tub, Firepit, Foosball • Access to Private Lake & Pool | Penn Estate Getaway

  • Set inside a quiet, gated neighborhood in the Pocono woods just outside East Stroudsburg, Penn Estate Getaway is the kind of bright, easygoing home where a group settles in fast and nobody's in a rush to leave. The interiors have real personality — bold color, sun pouring through the windows, and an open layout that keeps everyone connected without feeling crowded. The living area opens to a fully equipped kitchen with barstool seating, and the dining space is built for long group meals and the games that run late into the night. A second living room means people can split off when they want to — a movie in one room, a quiet book in the other — and a foosball table settles any debate about what to do next. The laundry room earns its keep on longer stays.

Out back is where most of the trip happens. Stretch out in the hammock with your morning coffee, sink into the hot tub after a day on the trails, or gather around the firepit once it's dark and the s'mores come out. A gazebo shades the deck for slow breakfasts and easy dinners, with plenty of seating and a covered picnic area to spread across. Traveling by EV? There's a charger on site.

The home sits within Penn Estates, a gated community with around-the-clock security and Pocono forest in every direction — private and quiet, but still close to the best of the area.

In winter, skiers and snowboarders are spoiled for choice: Camelback and Shawnee Mountain both sit about fifteen minutes away, with runs for every level plus snow tubing and lessons. When the weather warms, the Delaware Water Gap is right around the corner for waterfalls, riverside afternoons, and the climb up Mount Tammany to one of the best views in the region. About ten minutes toward town, Stroudsburg's walkable Main Street is lined with independent shops, bookstores, and local favorites like Farmhouse and Vault 636 for the nights you'd rather not cook.

AvantStay rounds things out with concierge service for whatever makes the trip easier — fridge stocking, a private chef, ski or beach gear, transportation, or a little something extra for a celebration. Just reach out.

Nestled in the heart of the Poconos, a dreamy destination for group getaways awaits. Embark on breathtaking hikes along the Shuman Point Hiking Trail, where nature unfolds its vibrant beauty from warmer days through the golden hues of autumn. Winter unveils a snowy paradise for Nordic skiing enthusiasts at the Big Boulder Ski Area. Dive into summer's embrace with kayaking, fishing, canoeing, and refreshing swims, making memories by the water's edge. The Poconos effortlessly balances a secluded and romantic atmosphere, setting the stage for intimate moments. Families will find joy in a myriad of kid-friendly activities, from thrilling water parks to exhilarating adventure courses. In the Poconos, every season paints a canvas of shared experiences, promising a group retreat like no other.

Other than a heating issue on one night, which we couldn't quite figure out how to adjust, everything else was excellent. We had a very pleasant stay overall.

Great house. Clean, cozy, comfortable beds, fully stocked with household amenities. Cons: 1. This is an Estate property. The amount of information you need to provide after booking is excessive. Name, date of birth, year, make, model of vehicles and all guest. 2. Upon arrive the check in process at the tiny office is chaotic. Long vehicle lines. You must produce ID and a copy of each vehicles registration. You need a pass to go in and out of the estate.3. A limit on the number of vehicles allowed at the property (regardless of how many guests there are). 4. Too many restrictions on what you can and cannot do at the hse. 5. I didn’t like hauling garbage cans to and from the curb for garbage day, or starting laundry before I left. Way too much to do when I paid a cleaning fee. If you have no issues with the cons, you will love the house itself. The host made every effort to be helpful.

We couldn’t get hooked up to the WiFi. Overflowing garbage and recycle was an issue. When we were leaving the garbage truck pulled up. He made us pull it up the driveway so he could take it. So we had pull the overflowing garbage pail, a recycle pail along with loose recycles out of the snow up to the road so he could take it. I didn’t pay that much money in order to have take all the trash to the road.
