"One of the oldest hotels on the island. Super great view from our room, and the wraparound porch. Close to bike rentals. Great connection with Shepler’s Ferry’s for luggage shuffling, arrival & departure times. Peter and Clare and their staff were most excellent. The “Breakfast” half of the B&B was so filling we really didn’t need a lunch. The king “Bed” of the B&B is showing its age, and no refrigerator or microwave was unhandy. But always slept well and got my steps in going up and down for tea or coffee. A Super Great stay & will return!❤️"
Log Cabin Rental! Quiet, Peaceful & Private Lakefront. Dog Friendly!
8/10 Good
"We had stayed at this cabin a few years ago and it is even nicer than it was back then, with updates in the bathroom and railings. It's a beautiful location on a lovely, quiet lake and last time, we had enjoyed a campfire, rowing around in a canoe and hanging outside at sunset. But that was a September visit. We found that in June, the bugs are soooo bad that we couldn't be outside at all, something we probably should have anticipated. Luckily, the cabin was very cozy for hanging out and nearby attractions, like the pictured rocks trails weren't nearly as buggy as the inland lake, so we had plenty to do. We would stay here again in a less buggy season. Everything you need in a cozy very private-feeling location."
"Love this place! This was our 2nd stay. Great place to get away from it all. Quiet. Private. Enjoyed the hot tub and roasting marshmallows over the firepit. Just a short drive from Lake Superior. I hope to come back next year. "
Lake Superior Lodge w/Private Lakefront Large Deck, Island Views, Pictured Rocks
10/10 Excellent
"This is a comfortable five bedroom, three full bathrooms, family oriented cottage with gorgeous views of Lake Superior from the brand new raised deck. Although there is no beach on property, a sandy beach area is just five minutes away. The house is well maintained. Kitchen is well equipped. We have rented this cottage for two consecutive summers because it was perfect for our needs and very homey. I highly recommend this property!May not be good for people who have trouble using stairs. Main floor access requires a stair climb."
Crossover Cabin is ready for your outdoor adventure! Perfect for snowmobilers!!
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed here to visit the surrounding Hiawatha and Pictured Rocks hiking trails (Miner’s Beach and Beaver Basin). The home was located close enough to Munising (15min) for groceries, lunch, and other conveniences, but remote enough to have some forested privacy. It’s located just a few minutes off a dirt road easily accessed by our sedan. It was a clean and comfortable home base after long days. I appreciated that there was a washer and dryer available too. The citronella candles and torches were a convenient touch too, given how many mosquitoes were in the area. That said, we opted out of having a campfire outside due to the bugs. But that’s the UP for you, so come prepared with some deet. The kitchen was decently stocked with basic cook and baking ware. Clean and spacious. I’d bring your own knives, small detail. The bathroom was clean and plenty of towels. We didn’t have phone reception but the WiFI I worked well. Host was also quick to respond to my queries. I’d come here again in the future if I were visiting Painted Rocks."
"Pros:Nice bedrooms, stocked kitchen, access to laundry, homey touchesTo be aware:This property is not secluded. You are very close to owner's cabin and other rentals. Laundry is in shared, attached garage that is accessed during your stay. The lock does not work well so we had to manually lock and unlock during our stay. This meant going through the garage which had an entry to the house. Firepit and seating areas are shared. This place would be great for large families with children and pets. The kayaks and other equipment were easy to access. You can tell they are doing lots of work to the property to make improvements."
