"I had very low expectations based on some of the reviews. But I was not exposed to the things I feared most from the reviews...dead bugs, unclean room, rude staff, bad smells...perhaps I was lucky, perhaps they've improved based on those reviews. My room was clean, everything worked inside the room. That the towels were skimpy is my biggest complaint about the room. The walls were "thin" but there was only minimal and occasional noise from my neighbors. The property itself needs a good spring cleaning, especially the hallway carpets, the broken beverage vending machine should be fixed, the pool should be usable, and this property still advertises free breakfast...nope. But I was overall satisfied."

"We arrived late Friday night. I called earlier in the day to let them know we would be late for checking. They sent a text with our room number and door code. They also called to confirm later that evening that I received the text with my information. The Lodge is older but in great shape. The location is beautiful and the marina is well taken care of. "

"There was not a chef working the day we were there despite offering dinner from 4-8pm. There are truly great restaurants very close by though. My credit card was charged $100 "just in case" which I feel was unnecessary until they had reason to charge. I was told it would "disappear" in about 10 days from my card. The hallways, room doors and bathroom all needed a new coat of paint or at least a good cleaning. Very dirty along the doorknob/lock areas. Beds were very comfortable, Old worn chair in the room. Balcony super nice. No local TV channels could be found on the television, only apps to sign into yourself. It would have been nice to have a complimentary continental breakfast as cheaper hotels have but they only offer a $14 breakfast which I did not get. Little areas such as the thermostat, edge of outlets etc. have not been cleaned. Makes me wonder if remote, light switches etc had been disinfected. Nice toilet paper. Pillows a bit lumpy, but I brought my own. I think I would look for a different hotel if I stay in the area again. "
