We stayed in the 3rd floor apartment - which was very spacious for 6. I will say coming from North America THE STAIRS are something to behold (I believe they at 51°) so we all definitely got our leg and glute workouts. The bed had 2 single matts which kept sleeping and I kept ending up in the middle. Then they demanded 50 euros extra for city tax which should be accounted in the price and additional approx 100 pounds for damage deposit? I still haven't received this back and again this demand should be declared. The room was cozy, what you would expect from an older European hotel. Right away the staff was great and got us acquainted with our room and gave us a small tour of the property. Nicknamed the garden room, our room was themed after a doctor that created the modern hospital. In it, was a marvelous (and kinda creepy) life sized metal skeleton artwork. "The rooms are very clean, and cleaned daily
The rooms are large and consist of sleeping area and Living area, the views from the bedrooms are of the marina which are beautiful.
The breakfast was excellent and you can use the fantastic swimming pool as you wish.
For the cyclists, take your bikes with you and there is a locked dry bike shed. The cycling paths are excellent, very safe and endless.
They have a huge parking area and it's free"

"Really fun little hotel, with super helpful staff, who took care of our every need. The larger rooms on the first floor are really great, with a bathtub in the room and nice decor. We did have a night in a second floor room also- just a bit small for us- we’ve been traveling for a while so have more stuff than someone on a weekend away- though still lovely decor and nice and quiet. We used this hotel as a base to explore the area of Friesland and were really happy with the choice."

"Lovely hotel. Great night sleep in a very comfortable bed. About a 20 minute walk to the main centre of the town.
Limited facilities available at the hotel after about 7pm. No bar open after this time so had to walk elsewhere to get a drink.
Breakfast was simple but lovely.

"This hotel is located in an area where parking on the streets of the town is required and parking machines don't accept foreign (american) cards. There is also an app that can be loaded onto a US based iphone... Team member confirmed that they would refund since I had to find a different hotel but until now I haven't received a refund (one week has passed)"
