At the end of 2022, we completely renovated a 16-room hotel, transforming it into 4 beautiful, luxurious apartments. This is one of our crown jewels: the “Gelukkig am Meer” luxury apartment for 4 people with a private wellness area. In front of the entrance door is a cosy garden where up to 4 people can sit comfortably. The entrance door is a large glass door that you can open completely in the summer. Upon entering, you’ll find yourself on the ground floor in the living and dining room. The living room is furnished with a comfortable sofa and two cosy, inviting chairs, so you can relax in front of the TV. The TV offers German channels. The kitchen features a wooden table with four chairs, as well as a coffee and tea corner where you can easily prepare your coffee or tea. The kitchen also features a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a combination oven and microwave, as well as pots, dishes, and silverware so you can cook comfortably. When you go up the stairs to the upper floor, you’ll reach the bedrooms. The first bedroom has a large double bed. Next to the bed are two nightstands with bedside lamps. This bedroom also has a closet where you can store your belongings, and there’s a mirror on the wall. If you go through the living room door, you’ll enter the bathroom. It is equipped with a spa shower, a toilet, and a sink with a large mirror and two drawers. If you go through the other door, you’ll enter the other bedroom, which is also furnished with a large double bed. This bedroom has a closet and two nightstands with lamps. If you go through the living room doors in this room, you’ll enter the second bathroom. This bathroom also has a spa shower, a toilet, and a sink with a mirror. The entire apartment has heated floors and free Wi-Fi. You’ll also receive a digital parking pass so you can park your car for free near the apartment. 2.5-hour access to the wellness area. The private wellness area is spread over two levels and is located in the apartment complex where the luxury apartment for 4 people is also situated. The wellness area is on the lower level, and the relaxation/meditation room is on the upper level. The wellness area features a large Finnish steam sauna, which you can also use as an infrared sauna.
It also includes a two-person whirlpool with a waterfall, as well as an ice bath, a shower, a toilet, and a hand-washing sink. The upper level features two lounge chairs, a coffee and tea corner, and a full-body massage chair. Two yoga mats and a meditation corner are also located on this floor. You are welcome to book a 2.5-hour wellness session with us. The spacious apartment is located 100 metres from the beach and the boardwalk, and just a two-minute walk from the village. Egmond aan Zee is a seaside resort in the municipality of Bergen in the province of North Holland. Egmond consists of three villages: Egmond aan Zee, Egmond-Binnen, and Egmond aan den Hoef. Egmond aan Zee is the best-known of the three villages. A fishing village was established here more than 1,000 years ago, but since the beginning of the last century, the village has also attracted tourists. Both its fishing heritage and its history as a tourist destination are still clearly visible in the townscape. The Jan van Speyk Lighthouse stands prominently on the beach promenade and is also clearly visible from the village. The village offers holidaymakers plenty of entertainment. There are many outdoor dining areas, restaurants, and a shopping centre. In the summer, a weekly event featuring plenty of village entertainment is organised, which can be enjoyed from a terrace on Pompplein Square. Egmond aan Zee has numerous shops, boutiques, restaurants, cafés, and, of course, the beautiful lighthouse. The shops are open seven days a week, year-round, and are easily accessible. Just beyond the built-up area of Egmond aan Zee lies the beautiful natural landscape of the North Holland Dune Reserve, where you can admire wild horses and Scottish Highland cattle. Egmond offers not only a beach but also a lovely promenade and a welcoming village centre. You’re guaranteed not to get bored on the beach, as numerous activities are often organised there. Egmond is also located in a beautiful area surrounded by expansive dunes. Nearby, you’ll find other lovely destinations, such as Bergen aan Zee and the forests. Cycling and hiking are very popular in this area. Furthermore, Egmond aan Zee is close to Alkmaar, a city rich in culture and history—for example, the famous cheese market, which is definitely worth a visit. Amsterdam, Haarlem, and Alkmaar are all easily accessible.
