"We stayed here over New Year’s for one night before taking the ferry. The hotel was very convenient for our plans, and my kids loved their beds. There is a supermarket nearby, but few options within walking distance for entertainment or lunch. The restaurant and sky bar had limited hours and were closed each time we tried, though snacks are available in the lobby. "The Villa Kalhagen is well situated along a bus line to downtown, on the water, looking at the Island that has the Vasa and Skansen. Indeed, those are both within walking distance. I would say everything went very well... though the initial check-in was slowed by a staff shortage (which was the case at other places we stayed in Scandinavia). The parking is convenient and not too expensive. Breakfast is very good. The dinner we had there was good as well. "
