"This place is a Jim, I was so glad to have booked this hotel. It is a bit up the hill, but the view is phenomenal and the staff was amazing and dedicated to make sure my stay was perfect.
The beds were extremely comfortable, the pillows were fluffy, the air conditioning worked great, the rooms were big with a private patio, the shower was super clean. I definitely recommend and I will go back for sure."

"We reserved a room at this location, however we were switched to ZenZaru same ownership. At KiKaru the grounds were not maintained and the pool was unusable/not clean. When we arrived at ZenZaru the location was very inconvenient. You had to go down approximately 100 steps to get to the rooms. There is no reception area, no rest area/lounge. The room was recently finished but not complete. The bathroom/shower was large and comfortable, however the extreme hot water was not adjustable and poor...

"Room was less than average. Staff was helpful but I adjusted on lot of things instead of calling for staff.
Everything felt cheap, beds, towels and kitchen utensils were disgusting, even spoons and forks felt like avoid touching them at all costs than eating with them. "

"The staffs all very nice and ready to help. Rooms are big, breakfast is of high quality. We end up eating most lunch and dinner on premise, since they are high quality, inexpensive with mice view and live music. The room is quite clean, but we had a leaking pipe the third day, they switched us to a better one. "

"We absolutely loved staying here. As a family of four we felt very comfortable in such beautiful and clean villas. Everyone was so nice and hospitable. The food was so delicious and the fresh fried plantains. Both the ladies in the kitchen were so sweet. Plenty of free private parking. The stairs are absolutely no issue, should you have one there is a wheelchair friendly route to take down to the villas/pool instead. We did not want to leave! If you’re wanting to stay near MA, stay here!"

"The room is very clean and well maintained. Staff is nice and friendly. Lettika is a wonderful woman who is always willing to help us.
Our room had an outdoor sunroom-like space with screened walls, which made it feel open and connected to nature while still feeling safe and comfortable. Sitting on the sofa, birds would come right in front of me, and it was such a peaceful and enjoyable experience."

"This was an amazing experience and the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Giselle and the team at esquipulas took wonderful care of us. We got some amazing birding pictures, saw the feeding of the king vulture and loved every moment of our tipi experience. And the food was amazing! We can’t wait to go back"

"Great stay. Beautiful landscape/garden and very friendly service. Relatively quiet and calm. No major „attractions“ nearby, but various restaurants and small shops along the street. Everything else requires a car, Uber, or a <$1 bus ride which was very convenient."

The stunning beaches and idyllic natural landscape are just a few highlights of Manuel Antonio. Make a stop by Biesanz Beach or Playa Espadilla while you're exploring the area.
Valle Pura Vida might not have many top sights, but Manuel Antonio Nature Park & Wildlife Refuge and Cascada El Salto are two attractions nearby that you can check out.
"If I could give Gaia 10 stars, I would. The customer service is truly outstanding.
We were a family of four, and after a 4-hour plane ride, a 2-hour customs line, and a 3½-hour drive from San José Airport, we arrived at the hotel completely exhausted. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and care. Friendly staff immediately took our luggage and transported us by golf cart to the lobby, where four fresh fruit drinks were waiting for us. I was introduced to my concierge, completed check-in quickly, given a tour, and escorted to our room—all seamlessly.
Our suite was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with a stunning view of the jungle and ocean. There was more than enough room for my husband, myself, and our two adult daughters to spread out comfortably without feeling crowded. The shower pressure was excellent—it was hard not to want to take an hour-long shower!
When we weren’t in the room, we loved relaxing on the balcony or in the outdoor seating just outside our door, right next to the pool. The pool area offered breathtaking views of both the ocean and jungle. My husband and I especially enjoyed floating in the pool chairs while soaking in the scenery.
The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained and surrounded by a lush tropical setting. The staff throughout the property was exceptional. Our concierge, Edson, was incredibly helpful—always available to answer questions, arrange meals, and set up tours. Abraham at the Luna Restaurant was exceptional."
"We didn’t want to leave! Everything was spectacular, staff, friendly, location, views, food and variety, wildlife, comfortable and memorable! We saw more monkeys here than all of Costa Rica including Macaws flying around too! We highly recommend this place!"
"La Marioposa is in a beautiful location. The building and rooms are situated for unbelievable views of the ocean and forest. There is a lot of wildlife on the property that you can see from your balcony monkeys, birds, sloths. They even have a adorable resident baby sloth. The staff are exceptional and work extremely hard to make sure you enjoy your vacation. We were fortunate to have Alan, Oscar and David at the front desk and they bent over backwards to support any requests we had or provide good background on tours etc. The complimentary breakfast is really good. It is buffet style with a lot of options. The Papillion Restaurant for dinner and pool bar also serve really good food and drinks. The wait staff are extremely gracious. A magical location and definitely a place I would love to come back to. Thank you Mariposa."
"We loved our stay at Mountain Top Park! Beautiful mountain and jungle views, fun activities in the park, friendly and accommodating staff. Pura Vida!"
"We booked triple ocean view room for 3 nights. We were in a room which was renovated. We were in room 202, which has a huge building in front of the balcony. However, you could see I’ll see the ocean to the right and left of the building. The room should have been less than the 3rd floor room because of the obstructed view. The room was spacious for 3 people, 2 beds and a sofa, refrigerator, coffeemaker and coffee table. However, they charge you $2 for the coffee pod. They did have free coffee in the lobby.
Breakfast was great. Many choices and the taste and service was great in dining area. It had beautiful view.
Front staff was helpful. There was parking on property, but the entrance is steep and it curves.
My most favorite place was the rooftop. During the day, you can see ocean on both sides.
In the evening, it was so pleasant at the rooftop that we played cards. It was lovely, we saw stars and sunset colors from there.
We liked the location of the hotel. Only 5-8 minutes driving to all key places to visit.
Thank you!!

"We had a great stay. The hotel was beautiful and lush, our room was nice, and the pool area was excellent. The staff are super welcoming and helpful. We saw tons of wildlife at the property as well. Walkable to a mini market and a few restaurants."
