"A two night stop over to undertake some business and catch up with some old friends.
The Hotel itself was a pleasure and very comfortable with welcoming staff.
To arrive by car, be wary of the narrow (occasionally very narrow) streets and you will need to park off site, about a 5-to-10-minute walk away, depending on how fit you are. Best to drop off any luggage first.
There is an excellent restaurant right next door called the Ca n'Amatolox, run by Chef Sergi, who very accommodating despite...

Villa Vereda del Palmar/BBQ exteri/Wifi fiber optic/private heated swimming pool
10/10 Excellent
"I'm so happy that I found this location, we had a fantistic time! It's spotlessly clean, it has good air conditioning, a big heated pool, a pool table, table tennis, basketball and table football. It's completely private and has a gated driveway so you always feel secure. The kitchen is very well equipped, a TV in every room (with lots of channels). It's a 10 minute drive from everything you need. There are chickens so you get fresh eggs every morning! The hosts were perfect.. We didn't have any problems but they checked in with us occasionally to make sure we were happy.100% recommended!"
"A great half way point Portugal to alicante with out city traffic and easy access. To motorway hotel comfortable nice pool bar and breakfast very good"
"Great Hotel, staff, restaurant food was amazing, rooms fantastic. Garden and pool fantastic. Location fantastic. Taxi ride to most tourist destinations was ordered at reception no problem not expensive. Breakfast not as good as expected but lunch and dinner were outstanding. Bus location 1 minute from the hotel. 😊"
Exclusive villa with private pool, outdoor barbecue and game room 13 p.
10/10 Excellent
"We had a fabulous 2 week stay in Villa Cristina ! The villa is much bigger and nicer than in the pictures! It is absolutely gorgous! The master bedroom is absolutely stunning! The basement bar was used a lot ! For playing pool and other games and socialising later in the evening.. It is like having your own private bar ! The pool is a great size too. We hired a car for food shopping and some site seeing. Used local taxis to go out for meals in the local town. They were very reliable and the local town has a nice selection of restaurants and shops. A car is a must though as nothing is within walking distance. Mari the host was amazing. Very quick responses and super helpful and happy to help with absolutely everything! We also had to contact Vrbo during our stay and their customer service team were outstanding! The villa is in a quiet rural area. Perfect for larger groups. We were having a family celebration which it was perfect for. Would definitely recommend. Stunning villa. Very sad to leave ! We had a very enjoyable snd relaxing 2 weeks. A brilliant holiday. Thank you!"
"Lovely property with history and character. The room was very spacious and clean. The aircon worked really well. What impressed me most was their gym. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
"The rooms are basic but very reasonably priced and very clean, with aircon and storage for clothes, just what you need! Breakfast at 6euros/person was lovely and served to you in your room. We ate out on our room balcony with breathtaking panoramic views of the castle and surrounding mountains. Lots of hot water, clean fresh towels (daily if required) and shampoo supplied. TV in the room and a full size fridge so you can easily self-cater if you are travelling on a budget. Rooms are so reasonably priced! Our hosts could not do enough for us very helpful, knowledgeable and informative. Hostal Duran is right at the edge of the bustling village, filled with cafe's, bars restaurants (tapas was a favourite for us) and shops. There is also a very clean outdoor public swimming lane pool and a leisure pool, with the fabulous mountains for a back drop at 2euros/person(cash only for the pool). A couple of parks for younger kids, a winery for the adults, a selection of clothes and souvenir shops, a local pharmacy and a high street bank. Great air conditioned direct train link to Malaga Central and a regular local bus service (cash only for the bus). Local taxi drivers are a fountain of knowledge. Andalusia is the home of flamenco steeped in history with hidden gems such as Alora, a must see!"
