The 3 star rating is not a reflection on the hotel. The hotel room was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. When booking, Expedia indicated each room had a coffee maker, but mine did not. However, there was coffee available in the lobby. No biggie. As for my experience with booking through Expedia, I would give zero stars. I am aware that many hotels in San Francisco charge a resort/amenity fee and additional taxes. Therefore, I do my due dilligence before booking to ensure I choose a hotel that includes these in the overall price. I have stayed at several hotels, including one booked through Expedia and have never been charged these fees if they are not explicitely listed. This time, upon checkout, I was surprized with a $41 additional charge. I have gone back and forth with Expedia for over a week because this was not indicated anywhere prior to booking the hotel. Other potential fees, such a parking, pets, etc. were clearly listed. Extra taxes and fees were not. To add insult to injury, my Facebook agorithm now keeps popping up with ads that tote Expedia's booking fees as all inclusive. Finally, today they were able to direct me to some fine print on the hotel voucher that contains ambiguous statements about potential additional charges from the hotel. Had this been indicated at any time during the booking process, I would have chosen another property. I am extremely dissapointed with Expedia's practices and will not be using their services in the future.

Our stay was great. Quiet, close to food and airport. Room was spacious and the jetted tub was a nice addition after a lot of traveling.
