"The location was great, quiet and minimal background lighting. The northern lights were impressive. Our host prepared a delicious breakfast with a lot of variety."

"As others have noted, this cottage is in a beautiful setting, surrounded by nature, with breathtaking views from every window. It is well appointed for a summer stay, but not as well for a midwinter stay. The only lights are very bright overhead lights, with no bedside table lights, no reading lamps, no wall lights - so playing games in the evening, going to the bathroom at night, and making coffee in the morning, the only options are phone flashlight or full on daylight lights; it is not very cozy. The door outside to the hot tub makes a horrendous screeching/scraping noise. There are no pillows on the couches, no games, very spare: for example, we were a group of five and there were five coffee pods left for us. I think if we’d been passing through in the summer just to spend the night between long day adventures, this place would be great. (Comfy beds, great kitchen for cooking and eating, laundry facilities!) But for a winter weekend of snuggling up, playing games, drinking coffee…it fell a bit short, especially considering the cost. The check-in email and the check-in text gave conflicting information. The posted house rules and the house description in VRBO gave different information. The pictures don’t quite match the current state of the house. Basically, for the price, the listing and the property could use a little updating. "

"Our brief, 1-night stay at the cabin was great. Having firewood readily available to burn helped take the chill off. The cabin was clean, spacious and comfortable. Jokull was a great communicator. My only regret about our stay was we didn't get to use the sauna; we were beat from a long day. But, we were treated to a Northern Lights show in the wee hours of the night, after the clouds parted. Visible right from the deck. "

"The cabin was clean and quaint and cozy, set out in the country. We enjoyed the peace and quiet after touring all day. The road to get there, 535, was full of pot holes that we had to carefully avoid. However, on the 2nd to last day of our trip they regraded 90% of the road which made it a lot better. The beds were very comfortable. The host was kind and communicative making everything easy before we got there. We really enjoyed our stay!"
