First timebstaying at a bed and breakfast. Really cool and historical property. Host was great and gave tours ofbthe jail. Breakfast on the back patio at 9am each morning was a highlight as well. Would definitely stay again.

The Jailer’s Inn is a beautiful, historic bed and breakfast in the heart of historic Bardstown!! The hospitality is bar none, the food was excellent and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud! A tour of the old jail was included in the stay and was such an interesting part of history. Highly recommend!!!

The owner was wonderful and lots of stories and funny anecdotes to share. The room decorations and furnishings attempt to capture the history of the jailer, but are a little dated. Breakfast was marvelous, the outdoor pavilion beautiful. There are several restaurants and the shopping district within easy walking distance. I would definitely recommend the Jailers Inn.

Great place Great experience!

We stayed in the jail cell for the experience! I would have to say the bunk bed was rather uncomfortable for an old broad like myself! But we were in jail!!! The breakfast was so fantastic i forgot about my aches and pains!

Our one night stay in the Colonial was great, took you back in time. The staff were so friendly, especially Paul (owner) who loves to tell the history of the jail and providing a tour. The breakfast in the courtyard was so delicious and quite filling! We will definitely stay there again. Thank you Paul and staff!

I would stay there again if I had one of the rooms that had a door on the bathroom. The inn was the perfect location in town and the breakfasts were wonderful!

careful where you step

Breakfast was in the back yard; the yard had several rabbits running loose, to get to the pavilion where breakfast was served you had to cross the lawn where the rabbits freely, the lawn and surrounding aeras of the yard was littered with rabbit droppings a unsanitary condition let alone an unappetizing place to be served breakfast The entire place could use a great deal of professional maintenance and general upkeep along with clean-up of the rabbit pellets
