The E'Town Riverside Lodge is a newly remodeled space in beautiful, quaint Elizabethtown nestled on the Ohio River. Once a laundromat, the history is in the details, built in 1928 it now has been turned into a beautiful lodge. Stay and relax by the river or explore nearby attractions and sightseeing- From Garden of the Gods to Cave-in-Rock, Shawnee Forest, Riverside Mercantile next door; The Riverside Lodge is a hop, skip and jump to all things Southern IL.

Good staging spot for hiking Shawnee Nat. Forest

Great spot for hiking Garden of the Gods, Rim Rock, Cave in Rock etc... Nice and quiet location for sleeping between hikes!

Great place to overnight near Garden of the Gods

Just as adorable as the photos look. Was a great place to recoup after a long hike, wish we went in the summer when the catfish kitchen around the corner was serving!

Great place to stay and experience a quaint, IL town

We enjoyed this tiny house during our stay. It’s clean, dog-friendly with a fenced patio and within a 20-30 minute drive to the surrounding popular hiking and nature sight-seeing spots. The town itself is very small and you’ll need to drive a little ways for restaurants and groceries. The mercantile shop directly next door is very cute and a great spot to get coffee, Ice cream and local goods. Would recommend for a family of four (like us) or smaller.

A hiden gem

The "tiny home" is not so tiny, very well restored, well furnished and so quiet. Excellent communication with the host, extremely responsive and friendly.. The area has a lot to offer. We certainly will come back.

The house was wonderful and well stocked. It was clean and comfortable. The area was perfect distance to get to Cave Rock and Garden of the Gods. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful rehabbed property in a neat, tiny town. Very clean and updated. Close to garden of the gods hiking. No restaurants or groceries very close though.

Cute house on the Ohio River

We visited Gardens of the Gods and Cave in the Rock, both places we loved. The rental property was near both parks. The house was just what we wanted. It had everything we needed. There were limited restaurants but we enjoyed cooking at home and then sit by the fire pit afterwards. Would rent this place again if we find ourselves in that area.

A perfect get away

Our experience was great! The home was beautiful and perfectly located for peace and quiet. The host was amazing to work with. I couldn't have asked for better communication. If you stay in this house, make sure you visit the ice cream shop next door for cool stuff and the best ice cream around!

Very cute renovated building. Just a couple steps away from the Merchentile...which has cute gifts, excellent ice cream and a very nice lady that manages it. Couple steps away to the covered landing over looking the Ohio river. Couple steps from a resturant. The tiny home had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Exceeds expectations

This a great place to stay and I already want to go back. Quiet and private with beautiful view of and easy walk to the Ohio River. There is a nice coffee shop next door. Good experience with host. All rentals should be like this one!

Great place to explore Shawnee Forest

We needed a place to stay near Shawnee National Forest. We were more than pleasantly surprised with this tiny home. We only bookes one night, but wished we had stayed longer to enjoy the house and neighborhood. The house had all the necessities to make breakfast and we slept comfortably. This little house was very nicely remolded along the Ohio River. The rustic industrial decor was awesome. Perfect for a little get away. It was close to the Garden of the Gods for some hiking. The E-Town bar was across the street and had a band playing Saturday night. We ate at a hole in the wall restaurant called Shotgun Eddys that we enjoyed.

This is a well done refurbished business turned into a great one bedroom home with a fenced in back yard. Look out the window and see the Ohio River. Close to many Shawnee Forest sites.
