We stayed here in hopes for a quiet last night in dublin after staying at the other Dean and having a disappointing experience. Benni at the front desk was lovely during check in and check out, we had a pretty terrible experience will service at the downstairs restaurant (3 different servers, 1 which was kind) but incredible service at the upstairs steakhouse. The pool area is much better maintained than the other location as well and I wished we had more time to enjoy it. Our room was TINY - I wish they would install shelves up high in these tiny rooms so there's at least somewhere to put our bags. Otherwise, functionally it was okay and decently quiet though we seemingly cannot escape the construction noise early in the morning. Overall, I'd stay here again for the amenities, the quiet area.

We had booked 2 king deluxe family rooms. When we checked in we were told by the receptionist that we had booked 2 different rooms, until I showed her the confirmation emails. She then tried to give us the rooms on the 6th floor which has no elevator access. The elevator only goes up to the 5th floor, then you have to climb stairs to get to the 6th floor. We told her that we had wheelchair individuals with us, but she said there were no rooms available. Finally a supervisor came over and gave us both rooms on the same floor with elevator access. One room was the original one we had booked, and the other was much smaller. They tried to tell us that because of the layout, the rooms looked different in size. But we could clearly see that the rooms were not the same. Parking was 30+ euros per day, which was also not mentioned in the booking details or description. The only good thing about this hotel was the convenient location and breakfast. Other than that I would not recommend this hotel. Plenty of other options.

The 24 hour front desk was nice - you have to ring the doorbell to enter the building at any time of day or night. Room was good size and clean. It was very hot when we were in Dublin and they had no AC or fans, but the window opened and that helped. Location is a couple of blocks away from the main tourist areas, which was nice, and close to good bus stops.

Clean room and bathroom. A bit of traffic noise at night. Lack of a lift was a challenge. Convenient for a trip to the ferry terminal.
