COVID-19 has changed the way we travel, but it hasn't halted our enthusiasm for exploring. Here are some tips on how to navigate the new challenges of travelling:

• Research the rules and restrictions in both your origin and destination. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so make sure you check before you lock something in.
• Wear a face mask even during airport screening. A TSA officer will require you to temporarily lower your mask for ID purposes.
• Instead of handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, place it directly on the scanner yourself. When that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA now allows passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will have to be removed from your bag to be screened.
• Place any personal items (keys, wallet and phone) in your carry-on rather than a bin to minimize handling during screening.
• Separate any food you're carrying for X-ray scanning. Food items often trigger the alarm. Putting them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to touch and inspect your belongings.
