Enkhuizen Holidays

A very basic, no frills room, but worked great for me. The shower sometimes made a weird burbling noise (I think when someone else in the building was taking a shower?), and when it was hot outside the room got very hot (a small fan would go a long ways, there was no breeze from the window even when it cooled off outside), and the construction noises from the floor below started early. Carpet was old and worn, with a bleached out spot on it, but was otherwise clean. Continental breakfast was good (fresh baked bread was a highlight!), and being able to use the lift during open restaurant hours to get my suitcase up and down was helpful, as it's basically three flights of stairs up to the room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Haarlem is charming, and it's a short (less than 15 minutes) walk to the train station for a sprinter train into Amsterdam. There's also a nearby bus route that goes to the airport, which was very convenient. A nice, economical option for a single traveler.

It's decent for the price. Clean, safe; I stayed in a pod which was a first for me, you get one locker with your pod that fits a medium to large sized bag in it, and that was all I needed for storage so that worked great. If you're not planning on unpacking your stuff, then this is a great option; less so if you want to unpack and spread out. Would recommend planning accordingly if you're going to stay in this style of hotel.

staff was so friendly and the bars next door were absolutely amazing. Everyone all of around was amazing! Room was very clean and comfortable!

The staff was awesome- thank you Nora for all your help. They had happy hour for all the guests and if you can get the room with the canal view- do so. We enjoyed watching all the boats pass by, neighbors visiting and the incredible thunderstorms!

Great location on quiet street, but very close to train station. A lot of restaurants are around the corner. Rooms are very small, no storage space, just a couple of hangers. You have to be really tall to reach them. The same is true for the towels, they put them on a very high shelf. We stayed in a room on the very last floor, fitting two carry ons in the lift was a bit of a challenge. Room was clean, but bedsheets were wrinkled and blanket just thrown on top. On the positive side: AC was good, staff very friendly. Hotel is suitable for a short stay, two nights max.
