This was our second time this Summer staying here and we love it! It was great for our family and dog. Big back yard and a fire pit was nice for the evenings when we got back. We will be back to stay here again. Highly recommend.
Cozy, pet-friendly cabin in the woods. This cabin had everything we needed and more. The location is perfect. We visited Moose Cave and several waterfalls in Maine, as well as Mount Washington and several spots in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Loved meeting Grizzwald!
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Beautiful living room, comfortable beds, adequate kitchen. Absolutely beautiful mountain area. Access would be real difficult in snow or even heavy rain. In perfect conditions we made it up in our 15 passenger van, but it wasn't exactly easy.
One of the better places I've stayed in recent years. Very quiet and cozy cabin in the woods. Excellent spot if you want to feel at home near the top of a mountain. Views are best in the fall but are amazing year round regardless. The general store down the road is loaded with goodies and you could easily spend some time walking around in there. Anyways it was awesome for my family and i look forward to coming back.
The house was a perfect fit for our family of 5. The location is great and the house is cozy and clean. My family enjoyed the time in the north woods and on lake Umbagog.
We were looking for a quick little trip up north to unwind, and this was the perfect setting. Cozy, quiet, and remote but close enough to other things that it was easy to fill our days with little adventures. Highly recommend!
It was the best getaway we've ever been on,and in such a beautiful place.
Can't say enough, it was great, beautiful, relaxing and fun just to get away and have family time, with no worries...
Definitely will be back!
God Bless!
We couldn't have had a better experience! Everything about our stay was perfect: the house, the weather, the trail access - we had a blast! Kadie responds very quickly, too - which is a big plus!
The cabin is adorable and very thoughtfully appointed. Super kid and pet friendly. We were able to bring our 4 legged friend which was a treat...Given that I was a little worried that it would smell like a wet dog, but it didn't at all. The location was really nice and secluded - we went rafting with Northern Waters Outfitters and it was really fun. If you're visiting in the summer, it's definitely worth the time and expense to spend an afternoon with NWO.
We definitely want to go back!
Very clean and relaxing home that was a much needed respite. The place was very clean and also allowed a dog, which is nice to take our travel buddy. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home and hope to use the property again in the future.
Property is on a hill - good road getting to it but fairly steep. Cabin is beautiful inside, has everything you need. Nice back yard with a fire pit and chairs to enjoy. ATV trail parking is approximately 1 1/2 miles away. Shopping and gas only a few miles away in Erroll. Definitely want to stay here again !
We couldn't be happier with our experience at Raccoon Reach. Everything was as was listed and frankly surpassed our expectations in many ways. Living room furniture was really comfortable, and the house is situated so that every breeze flows through the home. Errol is truly away from it all...but we found plenty of outdoor recreation nearby.
Couple of tips:
1. If you want to purchase firewood there is a local resident along Route 26 down by Lake Umbagog that sells a wheelbarrow load for $10...
2. About a half hour from the cabin along Route 26 in Maine are two really cool waterfalls that the family can play and splash in - Screw Auger Falls and Step Falls.
3. Northern Water Outfitters in Errol are nice folks to work with and offer an number of differing watersports options for a reasonable price.
Overall we would definitely rent Raccoon Reach again.

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Disliked: Location
Wish the yard was cut before we got there. And there was a time the neighbor racing his motoro
Spent 3 days fishing lake Umbagog and staying in the cabin . Plenty of room for the group. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. The living room and dining area had plenty of room and was very comfortable. As the owner indicated the road to the cabin is fairly steep but was in good condition. We did not use outside furniture or fire pit at all. Would stay again if I was in the area.
The place was very clean and comfortable.
Location is great if you want to get away from everything. Beautiful surroundings!!
We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay again!
Very fast and clear communication with the owner!
We loved it and we strongly recommend this place!
Property is exactly as pictured - beautiful. The host is super responsive and accommodating. The cabin has many small touches that make it feel like a home away from home.
We had a great time riding nearby with miles or trials and great scenery. the house was clean and had plenty of extras in the kitchen. We would recommend staying there and hope to get back in the future!
