The hotel is older but in excellent condition and very clean. Breakfast had plenty of options. This hotel is located right on the beach and is near many dining options.

Amazing sea views from the swimming pool

Spacious room, clean and comfortable king size bed. Amazing sea view from our balcony. The best thing about this hotel is the swimming pool and the views from it.

We stayed at Exe Praia Golfe as a family of four. The location is excellent—right by the beach and very close to Espinho rail station, which is well connected. The sea view, balcony, and pool access were nice. The main bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious for two adults and two kids. Reception staff were friendly and professional, and the TV and A/C worked well. However, the hotel is quite dated and needs attention. Peeling paint, worn furniture held together with glue, and lampshades with kids’ drawings left on them gave a neglected feel. The balcony was untidy, with no broom provided. Kids’ beds were awkwardly placed with dirty wheels sticking out, making movement difficult. The bathroom was tired, with chipped tiles and a wobbly shelf. The main door stuck and was hard to open. Cleanliness was lacking—the floor felt sticky and not recently mopped. Communal areas looked straight out of the 1980s. The entrance smelled of smoke, and the front desk was poorly lit and often unattended. At breakfast, a staff member spilled something on our table and didn’t clean it or apologise—leaving a mess on the chair and table. Service overall felt undertrained. WhatsApp responses were slow or absent, which was frustrating. The surrounding area looked rundown with neglected buildings, graffiti, and a derelict public pool. We stayed in better accommodation in Lisbon for less. Sadly, we wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Great hotel with a very friendly, English speaking, staff (shout out to Rudolpho). Covered parking and great views of the ocean. Only 200m to a regional train station that allowed us to leave the car behind and take the train the 11km to Porto. (2 Euro each way). We highly recommend this hotel.

Unwinding in Espinho

Nice hotel in Espinho, great location, right next to the beach and lots of cafés and restaurant around. Hotel is good overall, excellent breakfast available. It's clean if a little dated in the decor. Key cards for the room frequently would not open the room door and had to be renewed at the front desk, a minor annoyance. Would stay here again for it's location.

Overall a nice stay and the hotel has two main strengths: fantastic beach location and a pleasant small pool, gym and spa. However, the Wi-Fi is confined to the lobby area and the hotel also didn’t have an iron to provide. These are significant for business travelers.

Amazing place, don’t believe any bad reviews!

From start to finish my boys & I loved it! Location was perfect - a short walk from the train station & a minute from the seafront and beach. The family suite was massive! So clean as was the whole of the hotel. The spa and gym were amazing. Staff so friendly. The only negative is that the WiFi is awful but tbh maybe when you’re on holiday you should put your phone down right ?!!

The whole experience at the hotel was absolutely splendid and the highlight of the whole experience was his nice and curious the staff was, there was this French concierge that was an absolute godsend and helped us at every moment that we needed it. She was so nice and considerate when it came to the sleeping arrangements between my family and she even added an extra bed just so we could be more comfortable during our stay, overall the entire experience was a 100/10 time and we would absolutely come again. The service at this hotel was unmatched.

We were looking for an inexpensive stay by the water for one night. This worked well for that purpose. We saw a lot of trash around the property on the streets. The room was ok, staff excellent….in the middle of the night someone was drunk and got in a fight and because we had our windows open we were woke up and entertained by the yelling. We had a room facing the ocean with a balcony and that was excellent!
