Windows could open which was nice. Airco was quiet but general sound proofing should be improved. Bathroom was awful. Way too small and lots of mold. Bed was surprisingly comfortable

The odd numbered rooms are next to the noisy train that runs multiple times a night. In hot weather you must chose between discomfort and hearing frequent trains clattering by.

Location was great for those that are comfortable walking around town. The apartment was spacious and a great base for us in Avignon. There are many dining and market options nearby. Hosts were great and easy to contact if needed.
The only thing to be aware of is that parking in the area is quite difficult (for much of old Avignon). When being dropped off by taxi we walked about 5 minutes to save a very slow drive in the city.

"Loved the location and character of Hotel Athenor. Yes the rooms are a bit awkward but its a very old bldg and full of charm. Our only quibble was they do not provide or even sell morning coffee unless you pay for a full breakfast. My wife and I dont typically eat breakfast so we had to walk a block ..."
