"I stayed in different hotels with better price in Istanbul. First of all there is no elevator in the building and due to bad design of stairs, its a big hassle to move luggages upstairs. The Tv had no channels, so it was completely useless. The Safe box was out of order too. Moreover, There was a intense sewage odor in the bathroom which could spread in the room. Overal not happy with the stay."

Grand Hamit By Karadayi Airport Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel itself was wonderful. Only ONEWAY is covered in the airport transfer! Not both. It’s expensive. We ate the restaurant inside and the food took over an hour and it was delivered to us from somewhere else (we watched the delivery driver pull up) and COLD. Not worth the wait or price for the food. The hotel itself was great and the staff were very friendly and spoke perfect English."

"We had a great experience for a one night stay. It is a newly built and very clean all around hotel. Breakfast was great and manager Sofia greeted our kids which was a plus. For a place close to the airport this is probably one of the best options and we will consider it again it in the future."

"The hotel has a typical European modern vibe, with appropriate amenities. Even though I prepaid for a "Premium Plus King" room, it was only averaged size. In fact, it didn't even have a separate bathroom, just a curtain to pull around the sink area; however, that may be part of the "vibe." No actual windows to the outside, as the hotel exists in the form of connected "pods" inside the massive airport building itself. The problem is the outrageous rates charged. The room itself was $423 US, and at the hotel bar, a single draft Efes beer was over $19 US. The room price was up to 10x the rate of rooms at hotels around the airport, which run from $33 to $100, although they require a short shuttle ride. They are finishing a Hilton hotel in the parking lot, a true luxury hotel, and hopefully this will drive the rates down a bit. If I had to do it again, I'd save hundreds of dollars and stay at one of the nearby hotels, and give up 15 minutes' sleep to take the short shuttle ride. In the US, the rates charged would be labeled "exploitive monopoly pricing," a form of price gouging. I can't recommend this hotel."

Navy Inn & Bungalows

"An excellent find on Expedia. We loved staying at the Navy Inn & Bungalows. My wife, daughter and I were looking for a short relaxing getaway and we definitely found one. Located close to the airport and a distance away from Istanbul, this place was exactly what we were looking for. We stayed in the family room which included two rooms (one double and a triple single), a big hot tub/ jacuzzi, a sauna room and an en suite bathroom. The room and amenities were excellent - though we would recommend a service of the hot tub and sauna room. The staff were exceptional in making our stay a pleasurable one. The food at the restaurant, on the site, was superb. We definitely recommend the "Clay pot kebab" - both for the spectacle of how it is served and the taste. Though the restaurant was a bit pricy, given the fact that there are not many alternative options around, the quality of the food and service was worth it. Thank you to everyone at Navy Inn and Bungalow's we look forward to another visit in the future."
