"We had a great time in Ghent. The apartment was small but clean and newly renovated. The location was a buzzy student area with lots of bars and fast food outlets, which was fun, but could get a little rowdy on weekend evenings. Buses into the centre or to the train station were a few minutes walk away. (Different directions) The Belgian people that we met were kind hearted and generous of spirit."

We initially ran into a booking issue, but both Expedia and the hotel staff were incredibly helpful and resolved it quickly. I was really impressed by how fast and efficient their communication was."

"The Dukes Arches is a lovely hotel in a great location, friendly, helpful staff and a great breakfast. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I decided to come back to Brugge and wouldn’t consider staying elsewhere. An all around wonderful experience."

"The room and bathroom were both very small, but perfectly adequate for a one- or two-night stay. Unfortunately, we got the impression that the room hadn’t been cleaned properly, as there was rubbish left in the bathroom bin from the previous guests. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our key card stopped working during our stay, and although we had to wait a little while for it to be sorted, the issue was resolved. Decent aircon. Windows can’t be opened. Parking costs 22 eur/night. The view from our room wasn’t the best. The breakfast was good, with a decent selection of food."

"Room was clean, comfy bed but pillows were quite small. Staff were very pleasant and gave lots of advice about our time in Bruges. There was an issue with hot water before we checked out which unfortunately prevented a morning shower, which was a shame, but nothing the hotel could do. Amenities were fantastic, and the hotel was really nicely located."
