"The property was good, upside down property, set in a lovely harbour town. Locals friendly. Amazing ice cream shop. The attached fish and chip shop was very busy too. Parking was roadside, not guaranteed, opposite the property. We arrived at the end of the Herring Queen Festival, which was packed out. We struggled to even unload, but obviously that wasn't something we knew about prior to booking. After that had finished, parking wasn't really a problem. "We stayed one Saturday night in early August. A nice welcoming hotel with ample parking. We had a premier room which was very comfortable, quiet, and had pleasant views over the gardens. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and reminded us that everything in the minibar was complimentary! As we’d eaten prior to arriving, the snacks and drinks - both alcoholic and soft were just enough to keep us satisfied until our good night’s sleep. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and served in the hotel’s restaurant. This was a good choice for an overnight stay, especially in a premier room."

"Small hotel ( essentially rooms above the bar and restaurant) in a pretty East Lothian village. Easy on-street parking, straightforward check-in , decent size room. Amenities are a little basic and I was frustrated that the shower in my room had very low water flow. Nice to have a cooked breakfast available every day. I didn't eat in the evening but the dinner menu looked tempting and good value."
